In celebration of Spring, the blossoming Eastern Free State town of Fouriesburg (near Clarens) is holding its third Spring Fair on Saturday 1 September 2012.
Entrance is free and there’ll be lots of fun for everyone: cherry blossom orchard tours, walks to San paintings, organic farm tours, eco farming demonstrations, arts and crafts and an art exhibition.
Live folk and country rock, food stalls, home-made jams and preserves, jumble and car boot sales, fresh produce, quadding, pony rides and other children’s activities and games. This year, local artists and crafters will create all the signage from purely recycled materials, collected by the community. The event will culminate in an evening performance by one of South Africa’s top stand-up comedians.
