The Bultfontein Boertjie Fees Half Marathon takes place in the town of Welkom.
The half marathon is a circular, flat, easy route but beware of the surprise at the end! Walkers are welcome and there is a fun run. All half marathon finishers are awarded gold medals. Enter at the show grounds from 5.30am.
The start time for the 10km race is 7.10am and the 5km starts at 7.20am. The running events form part of the Boertjie Kontreifees – a proper, family farming affair with loads of stalls, South African musicians, competitions, mini rugby for the kids, netball and cycling.
There is definitely something for everyone so make sure you diarise this date and get some action packed fun, Free State style!
