The Other Corner

The Other Corner is the two original houses one above the other. Only the one unit is let, and contains two and a half bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and a large living room / dining / kitchen. The balcony has an unbelievable view, quite the best in Sedgefield and perhaps the garden route too. Many breakfasts will be enjoyed here, and evening get-togethers. The stove is gas, but fridge, lights, hot water and are electric. There is a good Jetmaster fireplace as well, lovely in winter. No servicing is provided. The house is dry construction and was built 30 years ago. This house is cosy even in the winter with striking views due west over the estuary. The beauty of this set-up is that if there are more people to be accommodated in The Kingfisher Corner than the four allowed, they can use The Other Corner. The whole set-up is planned for privacy, even though the units are close together.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

Can I pay the deposit at month end?

That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
