Strelitzia is air conditioned and has one bedroom furnished with a King-size bed and a remote controlled ceiling fan. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. On request and as an optional extra, the sleeper couch in the living area can be set up to sleep 1 or 2 children subject to prior arrangement with the owner. The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering including a wine cooler and ice maker. The open plan lounge has a smart TV with satellite channels and Netflix. Sliding doors lead out onto the patio with outdoor furniture, braai facilities and access to the splash pool which is ideal to enjoy a sundowner. Secure parking is provided. An additional child can be accommodated on the sleeper couch on request.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
