We enjoyed our stay at Le Port Guesthouse. We stayed in the French room which was the smallest with no view. The room was beautifully decorated with a double bed, good quality linen and an en-suite bathroom with a lovely big bath and a shower. Good quality towels and luxury hand soap and shower gel was supplied. There was a coffee / tea station with a kettle, coffee, tea, sugar and milk. The hair dryer was very handy the next morning to dry your hair. A small bar fridge was nice to keep our water cold. The room had a TV and you could lay in bed to watch your favourite programme. There was air-conditioning to make the room warm or cold as per your liking, an electric blanket was on the bed which was so nice and comfortable, as it was very cold that evening. We had secure parking in a lockup garage with a remote control for the door. The breakfast was exceptional, delicious and a large portion and was served out on the stoep. Definitely the highlight of our stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was an honesty bar and a lounge that you could make use of. The only downfall to our stay was the stairs. I struggle to walk and nowhere was it indicated that, there is quite a lot of stairs from the garage into the guesthouse, as well as two high steps to your room. I would recommend that the owner make clients aware of the stairs so that people with disability with walking or climbing stairs knows about it. We can definitely recommend Le Port Guesthouse; we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful guesthouse in a characterful mansion. Close to port. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Excellent bed. Incredible copious breakfast. The owners (Marijke and Charles Smit) provide you with correct tips for excursions and dining. We felt like "at home".
