Located in a peaceful rural village within the Swartland region of South Africa, hidden from public view down a gravelled road, Koringberg Views Country House, a comfortable family house, and the tranquillity of the surroundings awaits you.

The views are exceptional and equally beautiful, be it in summer or winter. The house has an adjacent cottage, Candy’s Studio which can be booked with the main house for larger groups.

Self Catering Accommodation

Koringberg Views Country House is a self catering holiday home with three bedrooms. The main room has a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a bath, indoor and outdoor shower.

The second bedroom has a double bed and the third room has a double or two single beds. These two rooms share a bathroom with a shower. Two additional children under the age of 12 can be accommodated if required and a baby travelling cot can be provided, both at an additional cost. Bedroom 3 can double up as a study if work from home is required.

The spacious open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area has fold up doors opening the entire area onto the stoep and pool, the outside area is 18 metres long, 4 metres wide, outdoor living emphasized; undercover braai, outside dining table, and lounging area with casual chairs, couch and pool deck chairs, loungers.

A fire pit lower down in the garden offers an additional entertainment area.

The house has big sash windows offering plenty of light and sun and an indoor fireplace for those winter getaways.

There is a double carport and additional off street parking. The house offers Wi-Fi and Netflix.

The Area

Koringberg. directly translated the name means “Wheat Mountain” – and with good reason, the region is known as the bread basket of South Africa.

The Koringberg mountain biking trail follows a steep jeep track that rises from the Swartland planes. At the top, you’re treated to a 360-degree view that includes Table Mountain, the Cederberg and Winterhoek mountains. For a more leisurely approach, you can stroll up a 5km trail that goes to the top of Koringberg with the same spectacular view.

Other activities include water sport at Misverstand Dam, fly-fishing on the Berg River and wine tasting on the Swartland Wine Route. Also, visit the Atshumao spring used by the Khoi San to water their livestock.
