About Golfers' Haven

The Mossel Bay Golf Estate and Nature Reserve is a beautiful place to stay for both golfers and non-golfers alike. Stroll around the estate and enjoy the scenery and the African sunsets. The Indian Ocean is never far away and the beach is about a 10 minute drive. We are fortunate to have a wealth of wildlife on the estate, including the springbok, which can be seen daily grazing on the course and often in the garden!

There is a communal swimming pool approximately 200 metres away. The Golf Estate has 24 hour security and guests may use our garage for parking. The house is situated alongside the 3rd fairway of the Mossel Bay Golf Course, which boasts that 'you can see the sea from every tee' – well actually it's the Indian Ocean! A 10 minute walk will take you to the Club House with its restaurant and bars.

Self Catering Accommodation

Golfers' Haven is a large, fully equipped luxury studio apartment with private entrance. Accommodation is on the ground floor, and comprises:

A large living / dining area, stylishly furnished with leather sofa, ottoman and coffee table, dining table and chairs, TV with full DStv package (including all sport and movies), PVR for recording and a DVD / CD player. The breakfast area has a fridge, kettle, toaster and storage facilities with a door leading to a separate kitchen with sink, electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and further storage cupboards.

The sleeping area (adjacent to but separate from the living area) has a double bed, bedside table and very generous wardrobe space with dressing table. There is an en-suite bathroom with under floor heating, wash hand basin, toilet and large shower.

To the side of the house is a sheltered private garden accessed by six steps either from patio doors leading from the dining area, or via the main entrance. The garden offers a paved sitting area with table and chairs, separate space with retractable clothes line for drying washing and a purpose-built braai (barbecue).

Golf

Mossel Bay is the home course of Louis Oosthuizen, 2010 Open Champion. In addition there are five other top-ranking golf courses within a half hour's drive, eight within 1½ hours' drive and 10 within two hours. A ‘Golf Passport' is available to secure discount golf on a number of courses.

Mossel Bay

Mossel Bay is not just for golfers. It's great for hiking and water sports. It's an easy five minute walk from Golfers' Haven to the St Blaize Hiking Trail with its spectacular coastal views. We have two game reserves within a half hour's drive and even our own local wine estate. Mossel Bay - there's so much to do!
