Belfast Guest House is a larger-than-life luxury self-catering country retreat in the Southern Drakensberg. This is a great place for a break away from it all or as a base to discover the Southern Drakensberg World Heritage sites including the famous Sani Pass. The minute you arrive you will be tempted to enjoy a stretch of the legs, a stroll or even a jog in the fresh air and the scenic countryside, and then it will be time to relax in the warmth of the fireplaces in winter, or to set fire to the barbeque and watch the sun set in the summer.

Self Catering Accommodation

Belfast Guest House is a self catering holiday home sleeping nine guests. The main bedroom has a King-size bed and a TV. The second bedroom has twin three quarter beds. Both of these bedrooms have large en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and heated towel rail. A third bedroom has twin single beds and a separate full bathroom with heated towel rails. The fourth bedroom sleeps three people in single beds, and has an en-suite with a shower.

The beauty of this magnificent house is its sheer orientation. The main bedroom, the open plan living area and the bar all open onto a long veranda, which is equipped with chairs, tables and a built-in barbeque, offering unbeatable views of the sun setting over the berg in the west, and shelter from the easterly winds.

The kitchen is fully equipped including large side by side fridge / freezer, a dishwasher, electric eye-level oven and a gas top stove. The lounge/dining room is very spacious, comfortably furnished and has an enclosed combustion fireplace. The bar has a large screen TV and an open fireplace.

Welcome fire wood, teas and coffee are available on arrival. There is also solar backup for lighting and DStv on request.

The Area

On the property, within walking distance from the house, there is pristine river and two stocked dams suitable for fly-fishing (T&Cs apply). For the outdoor enthusiast – bring your hiking shoes, mountain-bike/bicycle, kayak, binoculars and passport if you want to take a trip up Sani Pass.
