About Le Grand Chasseur Wine Estate
Just 90 minutes from the Mother City, Cape Town, lies the Valley of Wine and Roses, Robertson, in which is nestled the elegant Le Grand Chasseur Wine Estate. This estate dates back to the 1800’s and is still in the original family’s name. It is situated at the foot of the Zandberg Mountain and alongside the mighty Breede River, promising spectacular views from every angle.
Le Grand Chasseur is acclaimed for its classic white wines with special focus on its delicious Chardonnay. However, it also produces superior reds that are sure to satisfy discerning palates. The excellent soil quality means that few pesticides need to be used, and the natural goodness of the grape permeates every bottle of wine.
Because the vast majority of the surrounding landscapes remain unspoilt, they are still the natural landscape of a host of wildlife species, as well as gorgeous flora. Hiking in the Zandberg or swimming and fishing in the Breede River all make for an ideal break away from city living.
