About HorsePlay

The KwaZulu-Natal Province is a particularly beautiful one in South Africa, and there are many ways in which to get the most out of your time exploring its landscapes. In Dargle, which is a magnificent part of the Natal Midlands, visitors are invited to experience the natural bounty and wonder of the area from the comfort of one of the HorsePlay horses.

Carl Bronner, the owner and manager of HorsePlay, believes that there is a deep spiritual connection between horses and humans, and that this connection can help humans to explore their inner fears, develop character and grow stronger. This makes interacting with the animals about more than simply enjoying time with these intelligent and powerful beasts. Rather, Bronner believes that her visitors will leave feeling a definite sense of oneness with themselves, the animals and the world around them.

The HorsePlay courses are conducted on the Kilgobbin Farm, which is secluded and secreted amidst some of the most stunning parts of South Africa. By exploring and fostering the relationship and understanding between man and horse, leadership skills are honed and dealing with others on a professional or social level is developed. These courses are designed for groups of between two and ten people (depending on the package).

The Old Kilgobbin Farm was established in the 1880’s, and continues to be one of the most idyllic horse havens imaginable. The majority of the horses are Friesian, which is a breed known for their physical beauty and their warm, irresistible natures. There is also Miss Moneypenny, who is a small Welsh pony that is gentle and excellently trained.

Those coming to the farm will have a hands-on experience with these intriguing animals. This deepens their understanding of themselves and their relationships with parents, children, partners, friends and colleagues. The clinic is conducted from 09h00 to 12h30 and booking in advance is essential.
