The Wedding Room

At The Wedding Room we give many previously owned wedding dresses a new lease on life. A wedding gown is worn for a couple of hours, and once it leaves the dry-cleaners, it is as good as new! Weddings can be so expensive, so why not save a little bit of money by shopping with us, and still get your dream dress.

What’s in store

The Wedding Room is very particular in the dresses it stocks and only sells dresses that are in pristine condition and of top quality, with the criteria that they are shop-bought, imported or made by a recognised designer.

The Wedding Room also has a selection of previously worn shoes, veils and wedding accessories, which means it’s not just dress shopping – it’s a bit of everything. So even if you have your perfect dress, why not have some fun and match it up with a stunning pair of old Italian shoes or vintage earrings. Weddings are so picture perfect these days, and The Wedding Room intends to change a little bit of that and make the experience more creative and spontaneous, bringing new meaning to “Something old, something new”.

The Wedding Room also carries beautifully hand-made, bespoke garters and accessories by Belzee Designs. Belzee designs wedding accessories are exclusive to The Wedding Room, however, other ranges can be seen in shops all over Cape Town. All materials are sourced carefully, and made locally using exquisite fabrics. If you are looking for something truly unique and authentic on your wedding day, then you will want to see this range. Consultations

We treat each bride with utmost enthusiasm. Consultations are by appointment only, on a one-on-one basis and completely free of charge. We try to help the bride with more than just the dress, so she will more than likely leave with an overload of information and helpful tips.

Opening Times

Standard opening times do not apply and therefore visits to The Wedding Room are strictly by appointment only.

Post-wedding service

When the wedding day has come and gone, make some money back and bring your wedding dress and accessories into The Wedding Room and we will sell it on your behalf.
