Perhaps the most beautiful of all holiday destinations, Hermanus is blessed with a magnificence of mountain and sea, with endless beaches, incomparable cliff paths, famous vineyards, expanses of fynbos, vast varieties of birdlife and, of course, hugely lolling whales.
Perhaps the most beautiful building in Hermanus, Whale Rock Lodge, with its shining white facade, glowing woodwork and thick heavy thatch, framed in rolling lawns, has an air of welcome, of warmth and of well-being. Within sight and smell of the sea and sound of the whales, this delightful thatched lodge offers charming accommodation in the popular seaside town of Hermanus. Close to the New Harbour and the start of the famous cliff path.

Whale Rock Lodge is a very comfortable, 4 star graded lodge with spacious en suite bedrooms. Eleven suites, each individually decorated and pamperingly appointed, a help-yourself bar in the fire-lit sitting room and a buffet breakfast in the sun room overlooking the pool, ensure a tranquil holiday.
Dining
A full buffet breakfast is served overlooking the pool and colourful lush garden with its relaxing water feature. For dining out there is a wide choice of restaurants. Hermanus offers a well maintained golf course and an indigenous nature reserve for lovers of the outdoors.
Location & Attractions
The Lodge is adjacent to the New Harbour and is a 3 minute walk away from the cliff path for which Hermanus is famous. The Southern Right whales can be seen from the top of the cliffs or by boat between the months of July and November.
