A tranquil and peaceful place, on a farm, filled with history, a place for people, on a human scale. Space to wander around, to absorb nature, to be cared for ... The Long House, built in 1790 as a Dutch East India Company outpost, is the ideal place for your meeting, seminar, workshop, course or product launch. It’s not for large groups - up to 40 participants would be comfortable here. The service is individual - we provide Tender Loving Care for all our guests. Conference VenuesWe offer two spaces for your group’s meeting, workshop or course. Each space consists of a large group room as well as a breakaway / lunch room. We have an outdoor lapa and a large lawn for relaxing or outdoor exercises. Both group rooms (Steenberg and Constantiaberg) are equipped with a fully integrated Data Projector with DVD/CD player and offer flexible layouts. And has numerous white boards and flip charts. For those of you who have fond memories of OHP’s and VCR’s we can also accommodate you! If you need extra stationery, photo-copies or faxes we will gladly help out. We also have wireless internet to which you can connect. EquipmentWe have all the technology you need: data projectors, DVD players, wireless internet, faxing and copying facilities. Air conditioning, flip charts, white boards - and we can arrange whatever you need. To be in keeping with our history, we can also arrange the OHP, for those whom prefer older technology! CateringWe take pride in our catered offerings. Whichever option you choose, we will cater an alternative according to your dietary requirements. Tea and coffee are always available, along with fresh fruit at no extra cost. Breaks are characterised by home baking to a highly professional standard - scones, muffins, biscuits and other delicacies. If the training does not leave you fulfilled, our catering will! AccommodationWe will be happy to assist you in arranging accommodation for your ‘out of town’ guests, as we are surrounded by fantastic accommodation. The Long House is the place for you! DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town CBD Take Eastern Boulevard, round Hospital Bend. Follow signs to M3 Muizenberg, past UCT. (continue with M3 directions) From Northern Suburbs: Koeberg: across Koeberg interchange onto M5 N1: Take exit to M5 Muizenberg On M5 (Black River Parkway) cross Settlers Way (N2) and take off to M3 Muizenberg. Follw M3 signs Veer left before Hospital Bend, onto M3. Follow M3: down Wynberg Hill, past Kendal Rd Exit. Take next exit, Ladies Mile Rd At traffic lights turn right: follow Ladies Mile Rd, Straight over circle and continue down Ladies Mile Rd At traffic lights turn right, on to Children’s way, at the first stop sign turn Left, into Dreyersdal Rd. Take 3rd right into Dreyersdal Farm Rd. Follow until gravel: keep right and right again: Sign “The Longhouse” From Muizenberg: Follow Main Rd towards Wynberg. Pass Zwaanswyk schools on left. Take next road left: Dreyersdal Rd. 3rd left: Dreyersdal Farm Rd. |
