We are surrounded by magnificent gardens with views of the back of Table Mountain, the Constantiaberg and the renowned Chapman's Peak. We are minutes from the beautiful white sandy beach of Hout Bay and Llandudno, 10 minutes from the Constantia Wine Routes and Kirstenbosch, 15 minutes to the Table Mountain Cableway and 25 minutes from Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. There are several golf courses within 25 minutes from The King's Place. The King's Place is ideal for a couple wanting a romantic getaway to a group of up to 30 guests. It is a luxurious country experience enhanced by carefully selected furnishings and fabrics. All units are bright and spacious with uninterrupted views of the mountains. There are two beautiful large swimming pools and for the energetic, a tennis court. Valley House can be rented as one unit or as two private, separate units each with it's own entrance and BBQ area. AccommodationVALLEY HOUSE 1 (sleeps 5 to 12 guests): The house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The two main bedrooms have queen size beds and bathrooms en suite, two bedrooms with twin beds and one bedroom with twin beds and a set of bunk beds; four bathrooms (including en suite bathrooms). Valley House has a beautiful large well equipped kitchen, with an AEG dishwasher and washing machine, eye-level oven, hob and a microwave. There is a laundry area with an AEG washing machine, basin and an outdoor wash line. A beautiful large open-plan dining room, lounge with satellite TV and a cosy wooden pub. This leads out to a braai (barbeque) area, pool and tennis court set in a landscaped garden. VALLEY HOUSE 2 (sleeps 2 to 6 guests): Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One main bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom en suite, and one bedroom with twin beds; two full bathrooms (including en suite bathrooms). a spacious passage area with a set of bunk beds (ideal for two children); Open-plan kitchen and lounge with satellite TV. The kitchen is tastefully done in maple and granite with an AEG washing machine and dishwasher, hob, oven, and a microwave. The lounge opens to a barbeque area and then down to the pool and tennis court set in a landscaped garden. VALLEY HOUSE 1 & 2 (sleeps 14 - 20 guests): Eight bedrooms, six bathrooms. Valley House 1 and 2 becomes one large spacious home which is ideal for large gatherings. There is ample room for everyone. Eight bedrooms (three main bedrooms with queen sized beds and bathrooms en-suite, three bedrooms with twin beds, one bedroom with twin beds and a set of bunk or two single beds, and one bedroom with a double bed or it can remain a second lounge / TV room). A spacious passage area with bunk beds (ideal for two children); six bathrooms (including three en suite bathrooms). A beautiful spacious fully equipped kitchen and laundry area. A large open-plan dining room, lounge with satellite TV and a cozy wooden pub. This leads out to a braai (barbeque) area, it's own private pool set in a landscaped garden. The King's Apartment, The King's Cottage and The Pool Room all share another large beautiful pool. THE KING'S APARTMENT (sleeps 2 - 4 guests): Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The apartment is up a flight of stairs and consists of: one main bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with twin beds, one large full bathroom, an open plan kitchen and lounge with sliding doors that open out onto the balcony and overlook the pool and mountains. There is a 32' LCD Sony Bravia TV with satellite in the lounge. THE KING'S COTTAGE (sleeps 2 guests): One main bedroom with a bathroom en-suite (shower, basin and toilet).The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary essentials, tastefully displayed in an open plan wood and granite finish. The lounge has satellite TV and direct access to the outdoor terrace and BBQ (braai) area. It is tucked away and completely private. THE POOL ROOM (sleeps 2 - 3 guests or 2 adults + 2 children): One main bedroom with a queen size bed. A bathroom with a shower, basin and toilet. A spare bed or a set of bunk beds for two children behind the lounge. An open plan kitchen and lounge with satellite TV that leads out onto the terrace and BBQ (braai) area. FACILITIES & SERVICESAll accommodation at The King's Place has DStv (satellite TV) in their respective lounges. Guests are welcome to use of our Vodafone Mobile Connect USB sticks to gain fast and efficient internet access. We provide top quality linens and towels which are changed weekly or as requested. The units are serviced weekly unless otherwise discussed. For the energetic, there are two beautiful 11m swimming pools and a tennis court. Tennis rackets and balls are provided. The property is well secured with an alarm system, off-street parking and remote controlled gates. THE FARMThe King's Place is a working farm. Ian King, my husband, is a horticulturalist who prides himself in growing a selection of clivia's, bromeliads, various palms etc. in green houses and in the fields. He loves to share his "passion" with other interested guests and take them for walks through his nursery. We also have a small free range chicken farm with about 100 chickens and geese (we only sell the eggs!). The property has beautiful equestrian facilities where stables are fit for a king. We stable up to 12 horses. Ian's latest attraction to our "farm" is a Kio pond. CHILDRENServices for babies and young children: we organise baby sitters and supply cots and baby blankets. We have a pool fence around the patios of both Valley House 1 and Valley House 2 so your young children cannot get down to the pool. A lovely outing for the family is to visit the World of Bird's which is 100m up the road. |

DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport: From the airport travel towards the N2 and veer right onto the N2 Cape Town. Continue along the N2 heading for Table Mountain in the distance. At the foot of Table Mountain, take the left off ramp onto the M3 / Rhodes Drive. Now you are traveling with the mountain on your right side. You will eventually come to a sign that reads "Hout Bay". Turn right into Rhodes Avenue / M63. This road takes you past Kirstenbosch and up to an intersection where you turn right to "Hout Bay". This road winds its way through beautiful forested areas and eventually comes out at Constantia Nek. Follow the circle round to the right and down into Hout Bay. Again the road bends and winds down into the valley of Hout Bay. From Constantia Nek travel for 1.8km and then turn right into Disa River Road. Follow this road over a single laned bridge and to the stop street. Turn left into Valley Road. Proceed over 2 stop streets. The second stop street is at the "World of Birds". Travel for another 150m. On the left-hand side, you will find a white wall and wooden gates. This is the entrance to "The King's Place". On the wall is an intercom system, please press "Office".
