Although winters are known to bring occasional storms, these are short lived and replaced by sundrenched days. Temperatures vary from an average 18°c in the winter months to 30°c during the summer months. Gordon's Bay is one of our most picturesque seaside towns in the Western Cape with a magnificent mountain range framing the bustling coastal town. Interesting restaurants, coffee shops, curio and speciality shops dot the busy main road which runs along the coastline. Take a sunset cruise from the harbour on a fine day and savour the beauty of False Bay as you sail into the sunset. Gordon's Bay offers safe swimming and excellent tanning for sun worshippers. DIRECTIONS: From George on the N2 Take the direction Cape Town on the N2. You will now pass the town Grabouw on your right and start the descent down the mountain towards Cape Town. At the bottom of the Sir Lowrys Pass, the first turning left will be Kleinmond / Gordons Bay. Take care as this is a very busy crossing for oncoming cars. Continue for about 4 kms. At the T-junction (directly in front of you is the Ooskus fish and chip shop), turn left into Faure Marine Drive. Continue on Faure Marine Drive you will now overlook the Gordons Bay village to your right. You are now driving on the coastal road, continue for approximately 3kms. Pass open parking and viewing point (on the right hand side) the road turning left will be Protea Drive. Take the next turning left into No 5 Blushing Bride Cul de Sac this is fairly soon after Protea Drive, start indicating immediately after passing Protea Drive. The Blue Marine is directly in front of you, kindly use the drive way to the left - this is the guest parking and garages for The Blue Marine. From Cape Town International Airport Take the N2 - pass the Cape Town International Airport and drive through Somerset West. The next turning right Kleinmond / Gordons Bay turn-off. Continue for about 4 kms. At the T-junction (directly in front of you is the Ooskus fish and chip shop), turn left into Faure Marine Drive. Continue on Faure Marine Drive you will now overlook the Gordons Bay village to your right. You are now driving on the coastal road, continue for approximately 3kms.
