Sugar Hotel & Spa is a chic, sleek, luxury boutique hotel perfectly situated close to and within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, the 2010 Green Point World Cup soccer Stadium, the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the city itself, its restaurants and night clubs. Sugar Hotel is seriously cool, luxurious and spacious and boasts an array of services not often found in a hotel this intimate and discreet.

Contemporary, natural finishes in grays, blacks and silvers have been used throughout the hotel with vibrant splashes of red, blue and green to give it a sexy yet pleasing look and feel. The uniqueness of the design and layout has in no way compromised its luxuriousness and comfort, with special attention having been given to guest convenience and practicality.

Accommodation


Sugar Hotel has 7 luxury rooms, all en-suite, one of which being a family room, making it one of very few luxury boutique hotels that accommodate children of all ages.

All rooms are carpeted and equipped with LG Artcool air-conditioners, 32 inch LCD flat panel TV’s, a DVD/CD sound system with iPod/MP3 connection, satellite DSTV television, a completely silent glass front mini-bar fridge, digital safe, tea and coffee station, built-in international plugs, double and triple glazed window systems to reduce outside city noise to a more than acceptable level, hair driers, Sugar bath robes, cordless telephones and wired as well as wireless internet access.

Not to be outdone the bathrooms have under-floor heating, double vanities with stylish imported glass basins, separate walk-in showers and large bath and a dedicated drinking water tap with water that is triple filtered for our guests safety and peace of mind.

Facilities


General amenities at the hotel include a well stocked and uniquely styled bar, a restaurant that, besides breakfast, serves light lunches and dinners, a swimming pool, computer stations with printers and 24hr internet access, a small curio and wine shop.

Wireless internet access throughout the hotel at no cost to guests, laptops with wireless LAN that guests may use in the rooms or in the public areas, Sony Playstation consoles and a good selection of games as well as a library of DVD movies that are available from reception and an on-site secure parking area with remote access.

Spa


In addition Sugar has a two roomed treatment spa which is situated on the ground floor of the hotel. It has two well appointed treatment rooms, which are designed in a contemporary fashion to be pleasing on the eye and uncluttered. For the most part Dermalogica Professional products are used in the treatments and an extensive range of Dermalogica products are available, which can be purchased from the hotels reception or from the spa itself.

Soft lighting, air-conditioning and relaxing music all enhance the experience. The Spa is open Monday to Sunday from 09h00 to 18h00 by appointment only, but after hours treatments can be arranged by special request.

DIRECTIONS:

Travel into Cape Town city centre on either the N2 (ex Cape Town International Airport) or N1 (ex Paarl or Stellenbosch) national roads. Pass the Cape Town International Convention Centre on your left hand side arriving at the first large traffic light intersection with Coen Steytler Avenue (also the main entrance to the V&A Waterfront). Continue over this intersection until the second traffic light intersection with Hans Strydom Avenue. You will now be driving along Buitengracht Street. At the next set of traffic lights (i.e. 3rd set) you will turn right into Somerset Road. Continue along Somerset Road through two sets of traffic lights, looking out for two tall palm trees and the Sugar Hotel sign on your left hand side. Immediately after the palm trees turn left into Boundary Road and SUGAR HOTEL is the first building on your right hand side. Enter at the glass and wood door prior to the large black roller door. Press the intercom on your left hand side to announce your arrival.
