This peaceful setting is at the junction of Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Clovelly in the Beautiful Cape Province of South Africa. 40 Minutes from Central Cape Town. A vista of white sand beaches, rolling sand dunes and the warm Indian Ocean provide a panoramic view from your doorstep. Southern Right Whales put on a spectacular show during the months of August to September. AccommodationYou will stay in a 100 year old fishermans cottage that has been in the Castle family for over 50 years. The cottages are run by Capetonian locals Adrian Castle and his wife Joanna. 2 bedroom cottages, each cottages sleep 4. Feather duvets and pillows, 100% cotton linens. Colour TV and VCR in each cottage. On your arrival you will find a bottle of chilled Cape wine, coffee, teas, milk, fruit juice and a bowl of seasonal fruit from the Cape. The cottages have an upmarket, beautifully furnished open plan living dining area, with fully equipped kitchens and braai [BBQ] areas. Orgeon pine floors and comfy corners to curl up and look at the view or just read a book, complete the cosy and comfortable cottage bedrooms. Safe garden area in which small children can play. Ample off road parking. The cottages are serviced weekly or more by arrangement. A daily maid can be arranged. Whichever style of holiday you are looking for you will find this a terrific home base. The beauty and serenity of this seaside area will heal the body and soul. Health & RelaxationIf you feel the need for a bit of relaxation, we can arrange holistic health therapies for you. Facilities NearbyBanks, a Post Office, 7-11, laundry, petrol stations and a large grocery store are located a short 1/2 km walk away in the town of Fish Hoek. 1 km in the opposite direction lies the town of Kalk Bay where you will find antique shops, art galleries and several very good restaurants, many of which are located in the picturesque harbour. Here you can feast on the the fresh fish brought in daily by local fisherman or buy fresh fish to take home. The local jazz club with nightly entertainment and a festive pub offer plenty of nightlife. |
