The Roundhouse is a three storey high round building with a thatched roof. The house has a very modern African feel to it and every care has been taken to assure your complete relaxation and comfort. The house has features such as a big projector screen television in the bar area and wireless hotspot internet connectivity through out the house. The suites, which consists of a bedroom, living room and bathroom, has all the little extras such as a microwave, toaster, coffee / tea facilities, mini-bar, television, DVD player, stereo, hairdryer, sowing kit, first aid kit, toiletries and more. Our breakfast menu includes delicious meals such as a full English breakfast, pancakes, health breakfast and the ever popular continental. We do room service everyday and offer laundry services as well. The owners of The Roundhouse are also the owners of the local tourist centre in Gansbaai itself called The Great White Adventure Centre. This means that we can professionally and easily assist you in booking any type of activity during your stay here. For the shark diving clients we would suggest that you book this with us in advance. Room DescriptionsThe Chordata Suite is the smallest suite of the Roundhouse even though it's actually quite big. The theme is African and the suite is decorated very clean cut. Simplicity. The Chordata suite has a small work desk in its open plan living room along with a comfy big sleeper couch, color television and stereo with cd. The sleeper couch allows for two extra persons in the suite. It also has a small kitchenette unit which has a small sink, fridge and coffee/tea facilities, toaster and microwave. The living room has sliding doors for easy exit to the outside and a front door which enters into the hallway of the Guesthouse. The suite has a separate bedroom with on suite bathroom. The bathroom has separate bath and shower. Toiletries such as body lotion, liquid soap, bubble bath and shampoo are supplied. The beds can be split into two very comfortable single beds otherwise a very comfortable queen size bed. All lights are on dimmer switches so that you can set the mood. This is the perfect suite for those traveling on a low accommodation budget and usually features on our promotions. The Pinnepedia Suite is our family suite. The theme is African and the suite is decorated very clean cut, yet homely and child friendly. The Pinnepedia suite has a double bunk bed (one on top of the other) in its open plan living room along with a comfy two seater couch, color television and stereo with cd. For the children is also a small portable DVD player with head phones. Appropriate toys according to the child’s age will be left in the suite for your child’s enjoyment. A small children’s DVD collection is also available. Cutlery and crockery for kids are supplied so you don’t need to worry about any accidental breakages. It also has a small kitchenette unit which has a small sink, fridge and coffee/tea facilities, toaster and microwave. The suite however is not self catering as there is no stove. The living room has sliding doors for easy exit to the outside and a front door which enters into the hallway of the Guesthouse. The suites have a separate bedroom with on suite bathroom. The bathroom has separate bath and shower. Toiletries such as body lotion, liquid soap, bubble bath and shampoo are supplied. The beds in the main bedroom can be split into two very comfortable single beds otherwise a very comfortable queen size bed. All lights are on dimmer switches so that you can set the mood. Should families with children under 12 years of age occupy this suite they should keep in mind that the rest of the house is not child friendly and that very young children are only allowed in the main house during breakfast time unless the kids are very good and behave well. The Astacus Suite is in a half moon shape and makes for a very interesting apartment. The theme is African and the suite is decorated very clean cut. Simplicity. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town From Cape Town take the N2 highway (Somerset West), towards Hermanus. Shortly after the Houw Hoek Pass turn off onto the R43 which passes through Hermanus and Stanford. Continue on to Gansbaai then turn right at the second De Kelders turnoff also labelled Stanfords Bay. Take a right at the stop street, then first left then it is the second road on the right (the one past the De Kelders bakery). You will see the Roundhouse on the right hand side at the top of the hill. |
