DESCRIPTION:
Robin’s Nest is situated at the foot of the Onrus Mountains at the beginning of the Hemel and Aarde Valley. Originally part of the farm Rheezicht, the guest accommodation is located in the gardens of the old homestead with breathtaking views of the mountains. A real country retreat 3 km from the centre of Hermanus.
Accommodation
Self-catering accommodation is offered in three units. Each room is furnished with antique cottage furniture and sleeps 2 persons on either a double or two single beds. Each room has a lounge area with a television, a fully equipped kitchenette, an en-suite bathroom (with bath) and access via an outside staircase. The rooms open onto a large balcony, which offers magnificent mountain views.
Clean linen is supplied twice a week and towels every second day.
Serviced rooms is an optional extra.
Safe private parking is available.
Enjoy your own braai under the beautiful trees in the tranquil garden with lot of birds.
Braai-utensils are provided.
There are 3 excellent restaurants and a farm stall in the wine village.
The Area
Hermanus is built along the shores of Walker Bay near the Southern most tip of Africa. Magnificent mountains watch over the town which is home of the Southern Right Whale. Nature lovers from all over the world visit Hermanus to view these magnificent creatures in the best land based whale watching destination in the world.
In addition to whale watching, there are many other activities which are now available in Hermanus, including sea kayaking, abseiling, lagoon canoeing, lagoon cruises, boat based whale watching, sand boarding, paragliding, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing charters, shark cage diving and sailing. |

DIRECTIONS:
On the N2 from Cape Town take the R43 off-ramp to Hermanus. Follow the route for approximately 30 kms and turn left at the second robot onto R320 to Caledon. First left into Hemel-en-Aarde Village, go over the speed bump and turn immediately right. You will be in front of the gates to Glenfruin Estate. Press 10 on the keyboard; we will open the gate. Turn left until no 10, 4th on your right. Walk in at the wooden gate.
