DIRECTIONS:
From Cape Town
Take the N2 from Cape Town, passing Sir Lowery Pass and continuing on until the turning for the R43 and Hermanus is reached. Continue along the R43 for just over 27kms to the Hemel en Aarde craft village on the left hand side of the road, passing the turnings for Fisherhaven, Hawston, Vermont and Onrus on the way. Continue past the Hemel en Aarde Craft Village (white buildings with green roofs on the left hand side of the road) and through the traffic robots/lights at the end of the craft village. Approximately 1 km further on, look out for the Gateway Spar Centre on the right hand side of the road. (You will see Spar flags on flag poles) and the 24 hour Total Garage at the next set of traffic lights. 4 turnings past the Gateway centre, you will see the turning for Albertyn Street on the left hand side. There is a brown sign on the corner with a picture of a house on it. We are the third house in. There is a sign outside, and “pots” with flowers and plants in. (On the Main Road on the right hand corner of Albertyn Street there is a “veterinary surgery”).
From the Garden Route
Traveling westwards take the N2 to Riviersonderend. After Riviersonderend continue along the N2 until you reach the turnoff for the R326 to Stanford. Take this turnoff and travel south westwards to Stanford. When you reach Stanford take the R43 to Hermanus – you will have passed the Birkenhead Brewery on the right hand side of the road just before the crossroads where you will turn right towards Hermanus. Keeping on the R43, drive right into Hermanus Village Centre, first passing over a large traffic circle, (roundabout), then past signs for Fernkloof Nature Reserve, a Kwik Spar, and a red and white pylon all on the right hand side of the road, then a 4 way stop (go straight across and a set of traffic lights in the centre of the village itself where you can only turn right. (This may seem a long way, but keep going!). After turning right at the traffic lights, you will start to leave the village centre. Keep on the outside lane coming out of the village centre. Look out for the Police Station on the right hand side (a large grey building with railings). Take the 2nd turning on the right past the Police Station into Albertyn St (on the left hand corner of Main Road and Albertyn Street is a Veternary surgery with a large sign up). The Potting Shed Guest House is the 3rd building in on the right hand side in Albertyn Street.
