Our Motto is “everything is here, everything is near”. Penny Lane Lodge is situated in the beautiful town of Somerset West, the Gateway to the Cape Winelands and has majestic views of the Helderberg Mountains. We are close to 6 major golf courses including the world famous Erinvale Golf Course. We are 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, 35 minutes from Cape Town CBD, 15 minutes away from the historical town of Stellenbosch and close to the lovely beaches of Strand and Gordon’s Bay. There are numerous experiences in the surrounding area, such as fishing, abseiling, whale watching, bird watching, mountain hiking, nature reserves and all water sports. AccommodationWe offer a choice of B&B and self catering units (sleeping 2 to 4 people), all with en-suite bathrooms, TV, tea and coffee trays and bar fridges or normal fridges. All units also have their own entrances. The Cottage (sleeps 4 people): Self catering unit with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen, patio with braai facilities. Studio 1 (sleeps 4 people): Self catering unit with air-con, 2 bedrooms (1 with twin beds and 1 with queen-size bed), lounge, mini kitchen, 1 bathroom, balcony with beautiful views of the Helderberg Mountains. Studio 2 (sleeps 2 people): Self catering unit with air-con, twin beds, bathroom (shower), mini kitchen, balcony with beautiful views of the Helderberg Mountains. Studio 3 (sleeps 2 people): B&B room with air-con, queen-size bed, bathroom and balcony with beautiful views of the Helderberg Mountains. Green Room (sleeps 3 people): B&B family room with a queen-size bed and a single bed, bathroom and views of the garden. Wooden Cabin (sleeps 2 people): Self catering unit with twin beds, mini kitchen, bathroom (shower), patio and braai area in the garden. Enjoy a Continental breakfast on the terrace or a full English breakfast in the main dining room, or just relax with a drink at our cosy bar or around the swimming pool. FacilitiesPenny Lane Lodge offers a swimming pool, bar and dining room, braai (barbeque) areas and secure inside parking with all guests having their own separate remote control for the main gate. Art GalleryPenny Lane Lodge has its own art gallery and studio. Diane, the owner and artist offers guests who are interested lessons in Watercolours, Oils and Acrylics. It is here with us, your hosts Kevin and Diane White, that you will find a warm and relaxing atmostphere. |

DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport Take the N2 to Somerset West. On the N2 take exit 43 that says Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Broadway Boulavard. At the top of the ramp turn left. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Main Road, Somerset West. Go down the Main Road and pass a BP Service Station on your left. Turn into the next road on your right after the BP, which is Coronation Avenue. Then turn sharp right into North Avenue. Penny Lane Lodge is No 5 North Avenue. |
