Paternoster Dunes Guest House was designed and decorated by the owners/managers, previously interior decorators in Johannesburg, where privacy and comfort was foremost in the design criteria as well as a feeling of being at Home. This culminated in a successful package for every guest’s stress-free get-away. AccommodationOur five individually decorated bedrooms have a lot to offer. The three luxury sea facing rooms have direct access to the beach from their own private patio and are appointed with a bar fridge and satellite television. The two beautifully decorated courtyard rooms have their own access to the beach and views of the vast Atlantic can be enjoyed from our guest lounges, bar and library designed for the privacy and comfort of our guests. All rooms are ideally situated on the ground floor, each with private patio’s, giving direct access to the beach. Facilities include Tea/Coffee, DSTV (hotel package), fridge, fans, air conditioners and gowns. The salted swimming pool is in the Moroccan styled courtyard of the guest house which is shielded from the south-easterly winds but allows sun in giving guests full tanning enjoyment on our pool lounges or day bed. The first floor is where you will find the open plan dining room, formal lounge, library, cocktail bar and cocktail lounge. Sumptuous full breakfasts are served here and on the adjoining patio which gives a beautiful view onto the bay, Atlantic Ocean and light house. (Dinners can also be arranged on request). Sunset views are best from our cocktail lounge and bar with a nice glass of the well known local west coast wines. The guest area also has 2 wood burning fireplaces for the rainy winter months which makes sitting and enjoying a book from our small, but eclectic, English library more fun. ActivitiesPaternoster offers holiday makers a relaxed getaway. Walking on beaches and in the nature reserve, viewing the manned light house (one of 14 left in SA), snorkelling, kayaking, reading, learning about the past in the Fossil Park or relaxing and enjoying the culinary delights in the area. Our area is also favoured for training sessions by marathon runners and off-road cyclists. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town Take the R27 out of Cape Town towards Veldrif. After Langebaan take the turn off, left, towards Vredenburg. Drive through Vredenburg without turning and on towards Paternoster. At the 4 way stop turn left towards Tietiesbaai. Look for the brown Paternoster Dunes sign on your right after 1.5km. Turn right and find us on your right about 100m further on. |
