Nooks Pied-à-terre offers luxurious self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people. AccommodationSituated in the picturesque village of Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands, Nooks Pied-à-terre’s spacious kitchen / living / dining areas, feature an impressive double volume ceiling with exposed heavy wood beams and two mezzanine levels. A spiral staircase leads to the TV lounge and balconies with spectacular mountain views, where you can enjoy that ‘sun-downer’ whilst watching an amazing sunset. The light, airy and spacious lounge offers a huge open fire place, comfortable over-sized leather chairs and sofa, and underfloor heating. Fold back the bank of glass doors and allow the lounge to flow onto the sun-drenched Moroccan style private courtyard and swimming pool, planted with lemon, orange and olive trees, as well as Aloes, and other indigenous plants. Relax by our sparkling crystal clear pool, listen to the peaceful sound of running water, whilst indulging in that well deserved glass of Champagne, and enjoy! For those that get a little overheated, cool down under the garden shower. When it comes to dining, Nooks Pied-à-terre offers you a number of choices. Sit in the shady front garden around the table, enjoy lunch in the sunny Moroccan courtyard, or take breakfast or a snack perched on bar stools at the large centre kitchen island, or for that romantic or winter evening, choose the dining room set with candles and a roaring log fire in the background. Nooks Pied-à-terre features two spacious, well appointed bedrooms (T’s room and Nook’s room) both with their own unique bathrooms. Each room is appointed with a king sized bed, air-conditioning/heating, and have mountain views. T’s room opens fully onto the sunny courtyard and pool, as well as having its own private front verandah, whilst Nook’s room is private, secluded and sumptuous, with a lovely bay-window aspect. The master en-suite bathroom has a luxurious stand-a-lone bath and separate shower, double vanity units, underfloor heating and heated towel rail, and opens up fully onto the courtyard and pool area. The second bathroom has an oversized shower unit, double vanity units, and heated towel rail. Sit in the peaceful front gardens and patio areas and feel the ambiance of this beautiful village with its spectacular mountains, smell the wonders of the local flora and fauna, listen to the local bird song, and pick your own fresh herbs for dinner. LocationNooks Pied-à-terre is extremely well located for you to explore Franschhoek and all it has to offer. A 3 minute walk will take you to the Internationally acclaimed award winning restaurants of the village, abundance of shops, cafes and bars. The wineries are a short drive away (3 within walking distance). Stellenbosch and Paarl are half an hours drive away, and Cape Town 45 minutes drive. DIRECTIONS: From Stellenbosch or Paarl Take R45 towards Franschhoek. Once you have reached Franschhoek, at the start of the village take the second turn on your left into Uitkyk Street (signposted to Chamonix winery). 6 Haumann Street is situated on your left and side on the corner of Uitkyk Street and Haumann Street. Parking is on Uitkyk Street. From Franschhoek Pass At the bottom of Franschhoek pass, turn right into Franschhoek village. Drive through the village, along R45. At the other end of the village you will see La Gare (SPAR) centre on your left. Take the next turn on your right into Uitkyk Street (signposted to Chamonix winery). 6 Haumann Street is situated on your left and side on the corner of Uitkyk Street and Haumann Street. Parking is on Uitkyk Street. |
