DESCRIPTION:
In the beautiful Cape Winelands of South Africa, nestled beneath majestic mountains, lies the historical village of Franschhoek. Only one hour from Cape Town and twenty minutes from both Paarl and Stellenbosch, Franschhoek is the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the Cape region. The village has become one of the top destinations for visitors travelling to South Africa and upon your first visit you will understand why; the entire valley, not just the village itself, is breathtaking.
Les Chambres Guest House, a charming old Victorian house that has been lovingly restored, is situated in the heart of the village and offers luxurious accommodation and personal service. Although located within easy walking distance of the main road, where a treasure trove of restaurants, street cafes, galleries and boutique shops are to be found, the ambience is one of tranquility and calm.
ACCOMMODATION
Spacious and comfortable rooms, together with attentive service make for a memorable stay. Each room is individually decorated in an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary, and has its own private entrance. King-size extra-length beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, under-floor heating, tea and coffee tray, mini-safe and 100% percale cotton bed linen are standard features throughout the rooms.
The en-suite bathrooms with Victorian roll-top baths and original brass mixer units add a further touch of elegance. Separate showers, built-in hairdryers and shaver points contribute to your convenience.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast like a king with fresh fruits, homemade cereals and preserves, freshly baked bread, croissants and a selection of cheeses. A wholesome cooked breakfast is always on offer as well as our tempting specials which change on a daily basis. In the colder months the dining room is filled with the sounds of a wood fire, while in the summer months the French doors lead out onto the patio where breakfast is served al fresco, alongside the fish pond.
FACILITIES
With temperatures soaring during summer, what better way to relax than to laze by the pool? Open a bottle of your favourite wine from one of the local cellars and simply enjoy the afternoon. At 9 m long, the heated pool is perfect for a few laps before breakfast. Even in summer you will appreciate a few degrees warmer water, allowing you to comfortably swim for longer and an after-dinner swim is almost compulsory.
Indulge yourself!
Let us provide you with our personal service, from the time you arrive, until you leave. |
