The guest house enjoys idyllic views over both mountains and vineyards, and is a perfect haven for those seeking peace and relaxation. Despite the idyllic setting, guests on business are well situated, with the Town Centre, Commercial District and College Campuses all within a 2 minute drive, or 15 minute walk. Tourists, meanwhile, are perfectly located to explore the seemingly endless opportunities afforded by the Winelands, and the Western Cape. Lady Loch is situated on the Wellington Wine Route, with Paarl (10 minutes), Franschhoek (30 minutes), Stellenbosch (35 minutes) and Cape Town (45 minutes) all within easy driving distance. Guest HouseAll guest rooms are unusually large, and feature ‘Super-King’ beds (or Twins if your prefer), en-suite bathrooms containing double-sized powerful showers, fridge, mini bar and safe. A seating area, with cushioned chairs and coffee table is provided in most rooms, together with a separate dressing area. Ceiling fans are standard throughout, as are wall heaters. Air conditioning is available in the luxury suite. We offer the following accommodation options: Double / Twin (Triple on request): Large double bedroom (25m2), with ‘Super-King’ Bed, or ‘Twins’, en-suite bathroom with double shower, seating area, separate dressing area, Large Tv, fridge, Mini-bar, drinks making facilities & a safe. Rooms open onto the Guest stoep and overlook the river and Vineyards. Economy Suite / Family Suite (Sleeps 3-4): This suite comprises of 2 large double bedrooms, each of which can be made up as either a ‘Super-King’ or a ‘Twin’, and a central hallway, with doors leading to a shower room (double shower) and a separate toilet. A large screen Tv, Fridge, mini-bar, drinks facilities and a safe are provided. Entrance is through one of the bedrooms, and views are over vineyards to the front & mountains to the rear. Luxury Suite (Sleeps 2): The Luxury Suite contains a large bedroom with a ‘King-Size’ bed (or Twins if your prefer), a hallway with dressing area, double showroom room, separate toilet, and a large lounge containing sofa’s, Large screen Tv, mini-bar & fridge. The bedroom has remote-control air-conditioning, and offers views over the mountains, whilst the lounge has views over the vineyards and river. FacilitiesGuest Facilities include an on-site beauty spa (please book treatments in advance), a large single-depth swimming pool and braai (BBQ) facilities. There are also 3 very large stoeps, furnished with inviting day beds, offering views over the vineyards, river, mountains and spectacular sunsets. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, and guests are invited to make themselves at home. A small Library is provided, as are a good selection of board and card games. Self CateringWe offer 2 self catering options: Self Catering Cottage (Sleeps 6+): The Self-Catering Cottage comprises of 2 large bedrooms, both en-suite, and a very large (50m2) open plan living room with a fully equipped kitchen and dinning area, which also has a separate bathroom.(3 bathrooms in total). Bedroom 1 has a ‘King-Size’ bed or ‘Twins’, Bedroom 2 has a ‘Queen-Sized’ bed, and the lounge area has a double bed settee. Additional beds can be provided upon request. Ceiling fans are provided in each bedroom, whilst the living area / 3rd bedroom is also air-conditioned. Tv’s are provided in each room. The cottage has a private Stoep, with 2 day beds, overlooking the vineyards and river, as well as a small private garden with braai facilities. Children are welcome, but must be kept under control. Luxury Self Catering Room (Sleeps 2+): The Luxury Self-Catering Room is very large (50m2) and comprises of ‘King-Size’ double bed (or Twins), lounge area, fully equipped kitchen, dinning area, and en-suite bathroom with double shower. Remote control air-conditioning and ceiling fans are provided. Views are to the vineyards and river at the front and over mountains to the rear. Health & Beauty SpaAffordability and intimacy are the primary aims of the Riverside Cottage. The Spa caters for just a handful of guests each day, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. A comprehensive range of treatments are available, which can be booked individually, as part of a pre-designed packages, or you can create your own programme. Day Guests and Stay Guests are equally welcome. We also offer several themed breaks including ‘Valentine Specials’, Mother’s Day, Romantic Breaks, Getaway Weekends, and Mid-Week Specials. Conference FacilitiesLady Loch Guest House offers small relaxed meeting and conference facilities, for up to a maximum of 10 people. The air-conditioned meeting room is 50m2, and contains a small fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom. Seating can be arranged to suit most requirements. Activities & AttractionsThere is plenty for visitors to do in and around the guest house. Local attractions include wine tasting (900m), Golf Course (2km), Walking, Liemetsberg National Park (8km), Historic Bainskloof Pass (5km), Boland Rugby Stadium (4km), Fishing (on-Site), Cycling (5km), Horse-riding (4km) & Museums (3km). Butterfly World, Drakenstein Lion Park, Paarl Rock, Afrikaanse Taal Monument & Museum, Boland Cricket Stadium and many other attractions are within 15kms. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport • Leave Cape Town International Airport car park through automatic Barriers and arrive at 4 way junction – Turn Right (I think sign is Bellville and you will soon see Cargo building on your right hand side) • (2km) Arrive at large 4 way crossing with small school on opposite left. – Turn Right again probably signed to Bellville • (2km) Arrive large 4 way intersection – Turn Right (Waste Ground & run down petrol station on your right) • (10km approx) Follow Dual Carriage way through several sets of lights until you see a main road running over the road (it is the only one) • Turn Left just before the flyover onto the R300 • Follow R300 for approx 10km – Stay on the road, the R300 ends and follow the road around a long right hand curve as the R300 turns into the N1 motorway. The signs will now say Paarl • Follow N1 for about 20km. You are looking for a left hand turn signposted ‘Wellington & Stellenbosch’. • Take this slip road, which slopes quite steeply downwards. You will arrive at a T junction with a large pond on your left hand side. • Turn Left and follow the signs for Wellington (about 20km, no turns) • As you arrive on the outskirts of Wellington you will find a 4 way stop with the ‘Florida Plant Stall on your left and a car dealers (2nd hand) on your right. Go straight over. • 3km later there is a left hand turn into (Distillery Road / Stokerey Pad) – Turn L • You will pass a truck depot ‘Slabbert Berger’ on the left and then 2 wine cellers (Wamakers & Wellington Wynkelder) • Immedeately after the wine cellars turn Left into Lady Loch Road • After 600m look for a ‘Lavender’ sign for the Riverside Cottage beauty Spa on the Left. Turn left at this sign onto a brick cobbled road (if you see the lady Loch estate you have gone too far). • Follow the brick road for 0.9km and around one bend and the last property on the road is the guest house. |
