The Guest Lodge offers three spacious en suite rooms, each with private entrance located in the main house. A charming self catering cottage with maximum occupancy of 6 people is located in the garden of the property, and an additional self catering unit with maximum occupancy of 4 people is also located on site. Bed and BreakfastEach of the three rooms is equipped with tea/coffee facilities, heaters, and fans. The secluded garden offers braai/bbq area and sparkling pool. The guest lounge is comfortably furnished and provides DSTV where guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of Montagu Muscadel. Breakfast is personally served by your hosts in the dining area or on the terrace underneath the grapevine, overlooking the garden. Cereals, yogurts, fruit juices, fresh fruit, along with bacon, eggs, toast and preserves are offered to start off the day! Self Catering CottageThe Self Catering Cottage was converted from its former use many years ago as a coach house and it still boasts many of the original features such as the barn doors, parts of old cobble stone flooring and original stone walls. The Cottage has its own private entrance overlooking the pool and garden. The cottage consists of two separate bedrooms (with twin beds in each room). There is a double sofa bed in the lounge area, which gives a maximum occupancy of 6 people. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided, along with tissues, and shower gel, for guest use. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster, and all crockery is supplied. Tea, coffee, and sugar are supplied for guests convenience. The spacious lounge area has SABC TV, and immediately outside the entrance to the cottage is a covered braai/bbq area. Self Catering UnitThe Unit consists of kitchenette/lounge area with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dining table and chairs, sofa couch and SABC TV. All crockery, utensils and linen are supplied. One ensuite bedroom with a double and separate single bed, bath, shower, and w.c., is ideal for couples, friends or small groups. The Unit can accommodate up to 4 people with a sofa bed situated in the lounge area, and the bathroom has a separate entrance independent from the bedroom. The Unit has two private entrances with car parking immediately outside. DIRECTIONS: When approaching Montagu from Ashton on the Route 62 (Long Street) take the second road on the left, Barry Street. Take the second turning on the right onto Piet Retief Street and the Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is on the left next door to the Municipal Offices. If approaching from Barrydale take the fifth right up Church Street, at the end of the road turn right and then immediately left onto Bloem Street. At the junction turn left and the Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is immediately on your right. |
