Rising from the cliffs, nestled in the indigenous fynbos, Khumbula enjoys a prime location in de Kelders, close to the small fishing village of Gansbaai. Khumbula sleeps up to 12 guests who want a truly unforgettable holiday. Wake up to uninterrupted views of Walker Bay, widely accepted as the premier location for land-based whale watching and home to one of the largest populations of Great White sharks in the world.

Accommodation


Khumbula has been expertly designed over 2 floors, each of which sleep between 1 and 6 people giving flexibility in the number of guests that can be welcomed to enjoy the luxurious decor and incredible views.

Ground Floor Accommodation (sleeps 6):
Entrance hall leading to 2 double bedrooms (queen size beds), 1 twin bedroom, all en-suite. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, separate scullery. Dining room, lounge with.fireplace, TV, DVD, DSTV decoder. All rooms have stunning sea views. Outside are covered and open decks, a rim flow swimming pool and lawn area.

First Floor Accommodation (sleeps 6):
Master bedroom suite (queen size bed, bathroom, dressing room), 2 further double bedrooms (queen size beds), one further bathroom. Large open plan lounge with TV, DVD, DSTV decoder. All rooms have stunning sea views. Outside there is a covered deck and a walkway to all bedrooms.

Location


A short drive from the well known town of Hermanus, Khumbula enjoys a prime location on the cliffs of de Kelders a mere stones throw from the ocean. From Khumbula the delights of the Western Cape are easily accessible as is the beautiful Garden Route.

DIRECTIONS:

From Cape Town International Airport
Exit the airport and travel East (away from Cape Town) on the N2 towards Somerset West. Continue through Somerset West and over the mountains through sir Lowry’s pass. Drive through the Elgin Valley, filled with orchards, forests and roses before descending through Houw Hoek Pass leading into the Overberg. At the bottom of the pass take the R43 turn-off to Hermanus (left off the N2). Continue through Hermanus on the R43 following the signs to Stanford. Approximately 17km after Stanford you will see the turn off to De Kelders on your right hand side. Turn right towards the sea. Approximate journey time from the airport is one and a half hours. Beware of static and mobile speed cameras!

From the Garden Route
Travel along the N2 towards Cape Town through the undulating farm fields to Riviersonderend. At Riviersonderend turn left onto the R356 towards Stanford. At the junction of the R356 and the R43 turn left on to the R43 towards Gansbaai. After approximately 17km you will see the turn off to De Kelders on your right hand side. Turn right towards the sea.

To Khumbula
At the first sign for De Kelders turn right off the R43 towards the sea. Take the first turn left into Main and then the second right into Ingang Street. Khumbula is the 3rd house along on the right hand side.
