This charming and rustic community of small holdings and large properties, nestling on the wooded slopes of the southern end of the Peninsula offers an unending variety of activities, but also offers a peaceful country lifestyle. Noordhoek is a short distance to all of the major attractions of the Cape Peninsula, but has none of the frenetic city bustle. Relax and enjoy a coastal holiday surrounded by country village charm. We are conveniently situated to all the attractions of the Cape Peninsula and a popular stay over for guests attending functions at Monkey Valley. ACCOMMODATIONHorizons Holiday Cottages in Noordhoek offer uncompromisingly spacious but affordable self-catering cottages and cabanas, with self catering convenience, suitable for extended stays or weekends. We are situated on the famous Chapman's Peak scenic drive, overlooking scenic lakes, in an acre of garden, with excellent security. Choose from 2 or 3 bedroom cottages which sleep 4 or 6 in privacy, or a Cabana more suited to romantic couples. If it is peace and tranquillity that you seek, you will find it here. THE COTTAGESCottage # 1: Decorated in bright African Colonial style with selected antique furniture and original artworks. This sleeps 4 comfortably in 3 bedrooms- a double bedroom, another with a ¾ bed and a single bedroom. Relax in comfortable lounge with TV, dining table for 4; have fun preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge/freezer and microwave. Cottage # 2: Decorated in breezy beach cottage theme, this sleeps 4 -6 comfortably. There is a spacious lounge with TV, a separate dining room with table for 6; an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge/freezer and microwave. There are 2 large bedrooms- 1 double and one with twin beds. A couch in the lounge folds out to a full size double bed to accommodate 2. Both cottages have single bathroom, bath with shower, vanity and toilet. Each has a door from the lounge to a covered veranda with dining bench tables, and facing a private enclosed garden with braai (BBQ) facilities. THE CABANASCabanas are suited for couples, and offer spacious accommodation with double bed, lounge area, and en-suite bathroom; the fully fitted kitchen has a breakfast bar. A camping cot for little ones is available on request. Cabanas have sliding doors to a private covered wooden deck leading into the garden overlooking the pool area, and with spectacular views of Noordhoek lakes. Excellent security measures guarantee peace of mind. Covered carports are situated within the grounds, adjacent to the cottages. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport: Take the N2 Highway going towards Cape Town; as you approach the foot of Table mountain take the exit marked M3 to the left towards Muizenberg, and travel until the end of this highway- past UCT and famous Bishop’s Court, onto the Blue Route freeway. Continue on this road until you reach a T-junction at the foot of the mountain and turn right towards Cape Point and Simonstown. Take the first road left into Ou Kaapse Weg and continue over the mountain, going past Silvermine Road and then at the bottom of the mountain turn left into Chapman’s Peak drive M6 (clearly signposted) Take the first turn right into Sea Cottage Drive: Horizon Cottages is clearly signposted at 9 Sea Cottage Drive. |
