Relax and enjoy a coastal holiday surrounded by country village charm. Our guests enjoy the peace and tranquility, but find that our accommodation is very conveniently situated for all of the attractions of Cape Town, and a popular stay over for guests attending wedding functions at Monkey Valley and Noordhoek Farm village. Because we have only four units it is never busy or rowdy. ACCOMMODATIONHorizon Cottages offers uncompromisingly spacious but affordable self-catering cottages and cabanas, suitable for extended stays or just a weekend getaway. We are situated on the famous Chapman's Peak scenic drive, overlooking scenic Noordhoek lakes, in an acre of garden, with excellent security. Choose from two or three bedroom cottages which sleep four or six in privacy, or a Cabana more suited to romantic couples. If it is peace and tranquility that you seek, you will find it here. Our accommodation is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay, and our beds have super- comfortable orthopaedic mattresses with luxury white cotton percale bedding to ensure a good night’s rest. THE COTTAGESGuinea Fowl Cottage This log cabin is furnished in African Colonial style with antiques and original artworks and sleeps four people in three bedrooms. The main bedroom has King size bed, second has generous ¾ bed ; and a further single bedroom, making it ideal for a family with two children or a single parent. Relax in comfortable lounge with TV, dining table for four; have fun preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge / freezer and microwave. Captain’s Cottage Is a breezy beach cottage decorated in blues, yellows and whites sleeps four to six. Main bedroom has a King size bed, second has twin beds, and a fold out couch in the living room makes an extra double bed in the lounge. The separate dining room seats six. Our Cottages have open plan, fully equipped kitchens with stove/oven; fridge/freezer, microwave and everything required for an enjoyable self-catering holiday. Cottages have single bathroom, bath with shower, vanity and toilet. Each has a door from the lounge to a covered veranda with dining bench/ tables, and facing a large private enclosed garden with braai (BBQ) facilities, where children can play in safety. THE CABANASCabanas are best suited for couples, have spacious bedroom with King size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower; lounge area, fully fitted kitchen and breakfast bar with fridge, stove and microwave. Sliding glass doors open to private deck with spectacular views of Noordhoek lakes, and open into the garden, pool and bbq area. A camping cot or small fold out bed for little ones is available on request. Excellent security measures guarantee peace of mind. Covered carports are situated within the grounds, adjacent to the accommodation. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport: Take the N2 Highway going towards Cape Town; as you approach the foot of Table mountain take the exit marked M3 to the left towards Muizenberg, and travel until the end of this highway- past UCT and famous Bishop’s Court, onto the Blue Route freeway. Continue on this road until you reach a T-junction at the foot of the mountain and turn right towards Cape Point and Simonstown. Take the first road left into Ou Kaapse Weg and continue over the mountain, going past Silvermine Road and then at the bottom of the mountain turn left into Chapman’s Peak drive M6 (clearly signposted) Take the first turn right into Sea Cottage Drive: Horizon Cottages is clearly signposted at 9 Sea Cottage Drive. |
