Hillcrest Manor is a gracious Victorian style home which has been carefully restored to its original splendour and charm. It overlooks the Cape Town city bowl and is situated in a quiet street only minutes away from the city centre, V&A Waterfront and lovely beaches. AccommodationAccommodation consists of six large, comfortable, en-suite bedrooms, each with television and M-Net, ceiling fan, heater, tea and coffee making facilities. First Floor Bedroom: This bedroom overlooks the pool and is decorated using muted tones which complement the beautiful wooden strip floors. Second Floor Bedroom 1: This bedroom has spectacular views of Table Mountain and the city bowl. An adjacent wooden balcony is a must for sundowners and teas. Second Floor Bedroom 2: This bedroom is large, light and airy. Its comfortable proportions remind the visitor of the splendour of the Victorian age when homes were built for maximum comfort. Second Floor Bedroom 3: This charming bedroom has a quaint Victorian bathroom en-suite. The upstairs balcony is a few paces away and offers spectacular views of the mountain and city bowl. DiningA country style breakfast is served at the guesthouse, while other meals can be enjoyed at a variety of nearby restaurants. About 50 metres from Hillcrest Manor is a quaint sidewalk delicatessen (The Daily Deli) serving delicious, light, home-made meals and pastries, all of which are available as take-aways. FacilitiesThe guesthouse has common dining and lounge areas, as well as a private swimming pool and deck overlooking the city and mountain. A shuttle service to and from the airport is available. ToursYour host Gerhard is a registered tour guide and can take visitors on a selection of one to four day trips, in his air-conditioned minibus. Tailor-made tours can be customised to suit different tastes. All tours take place throughout the year, including winter, when temperatures are often warmer than the European summer. |

DIRECTIONS: From the airport, take the N2 to Cape Town. Follow the route over De Waal Drive toward the City. Turn left into Mill Street and continue until Rheede street, left again in Kloof street. Turn right into Kloofnek road and continue up to the robot. Go across the robot into Burnside and turn right into Brownlow Road. Hillcrest Manor is No. 18. |
