DESCRIPTION:

A beautiful villa, set on Clovelly Mountain with stunning views over the golf course and Fish Hoek valley. The Lodge is offered either as an exclusive eight bedroom luxury villa or as self catering units / suites, apartment and a seperate one bedroom self-contained cottage or a B&B option. Centrally situated for main tourist attractions and 5 minutes from the beach.

Accommodation

Each room is spacious, furnished with quality fittings and is individually decorated with bright prints and fabrics that are loved by all who stay here. The house is a mixture between the Cape Farmhouse and Victorian style with beautiful decks and patios all around the house, allowing each room a private area where one could sit and either enjoy the views of the fynbos (flora) covered mountainside or the magical vistas over the Fish Hoek valley.

The Lodge is both bed and breakfast and self-catering and consists of:
• Bay Room Suite - one bedroom
• Pool Room Suite - one bedroom
• African Attic Suite - two bedrooms
• Studio - one bedroom
• Cottage - one bedroom

Sunflower Room:
This large bedroom with an enticing bay window has panoramic views over Clovelly Golf Course, Fish Hoek valley and to the distant Atlantic ocean. Sliding doors lead to the large patio with outdoor furniture including sun loungers. The luxury en-suite bathroom has both a double shower and a spacious spa-bath allowing one to gently massage away the weariness of a rewarding day of sightseeing.

Bay Room Suite:
A large bedroom with a queen-sized bed and lovely en-suite bathroom with double shower and luxury bath. This bedroom has a bay window giving beautiful views over the valley. Lounge / dining room and kitchenette with sliding door leading onto your private wooden deck with outdoor furniture and a Weber barbeque. There are lovely views over the golf course to the distant Atlantic Ocean from this deck.

Pool Room Suite:
The pool room is the newest addition to the lodge and offers stunning views across the valley and Clovelly Golf course to the distant Atlantic ocean. This suite consists of a large double bedroom with 2 single beds made up as a king-sized bed (they can be split on request), bedroom alcove with seating, en-suite bathroom (shower only) and lounge with sliding doors leading to the balcony.

African Attic Suite:
Treat yourself to a stay in the African Attic and surround yourself with the peace and tranquility of the Silvermine Nature Reserve with its unique 'fynbos' floral kingdom. This two bed roomed self-contained apartment consists of a lounge with sliding door opening onto a tiled patio with outdoor furniture, kitchenette / dining area and two en-suite bedrooms, all beautifully decorated in 'African' style.

The main bedroom features a large skylight set over the queen-sized bed so that one can watch the twinkling stars of the African night whilst reflecting over the day's sightseeing. The en-suite bathroom has a corner bath, large shower and skylight with stunning views of the mountainside. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds which can be made up into a king-sized bed on request and an additional single bed can be added into the window alcove. It's en-suite bathroom has a shower only and has a lovely skylight with views across the entire valley.

The Studio:
This lovely bedroom is furnished with two single beds which can be made up into a king-sized bed on request. The fully tiled en-suite bathroom has a corner bath and a separate shower as well as a heated towel rail for the chilly winter mornings. The bedroom opens into a fully fitted kitchenette and also has sliding doors leading to the covered patio which is furnished with beautiful wooden outdoor furniture. Guests can relax on this wind free patio and enjoy the fantastic view across the Fish Hoek vV

The Cottage:
The cottage has been decorated with an 'African' theme and the plush leather lounge suite and wooden ceiling coupled with bright ethnic prints combine to make the traveller truly feel that he / she is on African holiday. The 'lounge' area has a lounge, small dining table and kitchenette and a sliding door leads onto the deck. The lounge is fully equipped with TV and hi-fi set. The cosy bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. Underfloor heating keeps this bedroom lovely and warm in winter.

MAIN HOUSE - MIDDLE AREA OF THE HOUSE (Only offered when the house is booked as an exclusive eight bed roomed Villa)
A big family room which is open-plan to the dining room and kitchen. This room has sliding doors onto the main front balcony that has a stunning view over the golf course, the Fish Hoek Valley and distant Atlantic Ocean. The family room also has a sliding door leading into a lovely "honest" pub / bar which also has a fridge and has sliding doors onto the back patio, which faces the mountain. The kitchen is fully fitted with a large fridge / freezer, stove, microwave and dishwasher.

A separate lounge with a Jetmaster fireplace, VCR and DVD player. This Lounge has a sliding door opening onto the main wooden deck on the one side and on the other side there is a small breakfast room leading from it.

Two large bedrooms:
One luxurious bedroom with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with a double shower and spa-bath. This bedroom has a beautiful bay window in the front and also has sliding doors opening onto the main balcony.

One double bedroom with two twin beds and private bathroom with a shower only. This room has sliding doors onto a small sun room sitting area with tea / coffee facilities. The sun room faces the mountain and has a double sleeper couch.

Facilities

All guest house bedrooms have a TV (with satellite channels), safe, telephone, hairdryer and radio alarm clock. Underfloor heating and electric blankets are provided in the bedrooms for the chilly Cape winter. Linen, towels and gowns are provided and all rooms are serviced daily. There is a full laundry service available or guests may use the separate laundry facility themselves.

Plunge into the crystal clear saltwater chlorinated and solar-heated swimming pool or immerse yourself in the steaming Jacuzzi (hot tub) set in the garden overlooking the Fish Hoek Valley. The Jacuzzi is permanently set at a steaming 34ºC (93ºF).

Wireless broadband internet is available for free, either by using your own laptop or with the guest house laptop.

A double garage with automatic doors is available at an extra fee. Off street parking is provided for four vehicles.

The Lodge has direct access to the hiking trails and caves of the Silvermine Nature Reserve and is a 12-minute walk to the beach. It is situated adjacent to the Clovelly Country Club, which boasts one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in the Peninsula, a restaurant and bar.

Dunvegan Lodge is a special, beautiful lodge with a lovely garden and is ideal for golfers, hikers, bird watchers, businessmen or a romantic getaway.
