Bloubergstrand Sunset Lodge is “Portfolio Luxury Accredited” (an indication of the highest quality standards) and is a past finalist in the AA Guesthouse of the Year competition. The Lodge is a stunning architect designed home with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is situated in a very quiet and tranquil corner of the village adjacent to the Bloubergstrand Conservation Area.
Accommodation
The Lodge has extremely high quality finishes in every room and offers three en-suite bedrooms and one two-roomed family suite. The keyword throughout is unparalleled luxury in a b&b - from the large orthopedic mattresses to the monogrammed linen, to the fresh flowers and complimentary fruit juices that are placed daily in the rooms. All rooms have M-Net and parking is off-street behind security gates.

Large north facing double room with balcony. Panoramic sea views. Bath, shower and toilet en-suite. King size bed.

Large north facing double room with large furnished patio. Panoramic sea views. Bath, shower and toilet en-suite. Queen size bed.
Room 3:
Normal size room with shower and toilet en-suite. Double bed.
Room 4:
Family suite. Two rooms in separate part of house sharing bath, shower and toilet. Sea views. King size bed in double room and two single beds in second room.
Facilities
Bloubergstrand Sunset Lodge has its own swimming pool, a cozy sunroom and a sundeck for sun worshippers, as well as an extremely comfortable lounge with a small library of novels and factual books. Tea and coffee are always on the boil, and there is a well stocked bar cabinet.
Breakfast
Breakfasts are freshly made from the finest ingredients - free range farm eggs, jersey milk, succulent Cape fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. Breakfasts start with cut fruit, cereals and dried fruits, fruit juice and yogurts, and are followed by a full "English" breakfast of bacon and eggs and sausage. Complimentary tea, filter coffee and the "cake of the day" is served throughout the day at your convenience.
Services
Rooms are serviced daily and fresh white fluffy towels are replaced as often as required. A laundry service is provided. Airport pickups can be arranged at a nominal fee, and we can also arrange your car rental needs if required.
Guided tours around the Peninsula in luxurious air-conditioned microbuses can also be arranged. We are also happy to advise you on how to plan the rest of your trip, from restaurant reservations to shopping expeditions.
Bloubergstrand
The beaches of Bloubergstrand are well known for their stunning views of Table Mountain across the bay as well as all types of water sports and have natural tidal pools safe for small children. The views from Bloubergstrand looking across the Bay towards Table Mountain are quite simply breathtaking. Bloubergstrand is on the outskirts of Cape Town, and a car journey into the centre of the city takes only 20 minutes. Bloubergstrand also offers easy access to the V&A Waterfront, the Stellenbosch wine route, Table Mountain and all Cape beaches. |

DIRECTIONS:
From Cape Town International Airport / Garden Route
Take N2 Highway towards Cape Town for ±10km. Take M5 offramp to Milnerton (this is Koeberg Road). Travel along Koeberg Road for ± 10km, passing over the N1 Highway, following the signs to Milnerton, and then Bloubergstrand. At Caltex refinery (right hand side of Koeberg Road), turn left into the M14 (this is Blaauwberg Road). Travel along Blaauwberg Road all the way to the beach. At the T-junction, turn right into Marine Drive (still the M14). Travel ± 2km along Marine Drive (Table Mountain should now be over your left shoulder) until you pass Doodles Restaurant. ±300m past Doodles take first turning right into Perlemoen Drive. After 50m you will reach a T-junction. Turn right. Keep on this road as it winds up the hill. This becomes Gull Road. Sunset Lodge is at the end of Gull Road (No 41) and is a very large white double storey house.
From Cape Town CBD / V&A Waterfront
Take the N1 leading out of town towards Paarl/Stellenbosch. About 1 km out of town take the offramp marked “R27 Paarden Eiland”. This will take you onto Marine Drive, which winds up northwards along the coast. Travel ± 10km along the R27 until you reach Blaauberg Road, which is the M14. (There are 2 large shopping centres at this intersection, namely Pick ‘ n Pay and Bayside). Turn left into Blaauberg Road and continue about 2km all the way down to the beach. At the T-junction, turn right into Marine Drive (still the M14). Travel ±2km along Marine Drive (Table Mountain should now be over your left shoulder) until you pass Doodles Restaurant. ±300m past Doodles you take the first turning right into Perlemoen Drive.
