DIRECTIONS:
Option 1
Get onto the M3 to Muizenberg. (The main highway from Cape Town City Centre to Muizenberg). The M3 is locally known as “The Blue Route". At the end of the M3 you reach a T-junction. Turn Left to Muizenburg and at the next traffic lights, turn Right to Muizenberg. You are now on Main Road. A few 100m down the Main Road you will see a pub on your right (Westlake Arms) and a sign showing that you can turn Right onto Boyes Drive. Turn right from the Main Road onto Boyes Drive. (This road goes up and along the mountain parallel to the Main Road.) Drive all the way along Boyes Drive until the road takes a left hand turn and starts descending the mountain. At the end of Boyes Drive, as you begin to come down the mountainside, take the first left into Anderson Street. (Anderson Street comes upon you rather quickly as you descend the mountain). About 150m down Anderson Street, there is a small junction with Windsor Road going towards the Main Road and Gatesville Road to your left & right. At this point, turn left into Gatesville Road. Follow it over a little hill and down into (what becomes) Upper Quarterdeck Road. The Bishop’s View house will be right in front of you. It is a large wood-cladded, glass and stone house with the name of the house in metal letters on the sliding gates.
Option 2
Get onto the M3 to Muizenberg. (The main highway from Cape Town City Centre to Muizenberg). The M3 is locally known as the “Blue Route”. At the end of the M3 you reach a T-junction. Turn Left to Muizenburg at the traffic lights and a bit further on, at the next traffic lights, turn Right to Muizenberg. You are now on Main Road. (Main Road runs the entire length of the peninsula from Cape Town city center to Cape Point). Follow the Main Road right through the villages of Lakeside, Muizenberg and St James. Follow Main Road all the way to Kalk Bay. Look out for St James beach (colourful wooden bathing boxes on a small beach). Look out for Quarterdeck Road on your right as you leave St James and just before you get to the shopping area of Kalk Bay. Turn right into Quarterdeck Road which runs up the mountainside. At the top of Quarterdeck Road there is a T-junction. Turn Left at the T-junction and you are now in Upper Quarterdeck Road. Follow this road until you see Bishops View on your right hand side.
