With over 20 golf courses in a 30km radius and good mountain bike trails in the area as well as bird life and hiking space on the neighbouring farm Meerendal, it is a stone through away from your preferred activity. Alba Guest Farm was originally part of the famous Meerendal Wine Estate - with its 305 year wine growing history and also has the oldest Pinotage vineyards in the world. AccommodationThe 6 x Luxury (50 - 60 sq/m) cottages at Alba consist of 1 big bedroom with full en-suite bathroom (separate bath and shower), a big lounge dining area with fireplace and kitchenette. This allows you to experience living on your "own" wine estate while you are actually close to everything - beaches, 20 magnificent Western Cape golf courses, Table Mountain, the famous wine estates. The closest shopping mall from us is Tyger Valley Centre (5kms) and Canal Walk is approximately 10 kms from us. If you are a horse owner, and you want to bring your horse with you, we offer a unique package where the horse can rent a stable and you can experience out rides onto our neighbouring farm Meerendal with magnificent views. You can even rent a stable and care for your horse when you go away on holiday. DIRECTIONS: From the Cape Town International / Domestic Airport to Alba Guest Farm • Take N2 towards Cape Town • Then take the M7 / N7 North • 7km further you cross the N1 • Continue for 8 km and pass the turn-off to Contermanskloof Road • 2 km further turn right to Durbanville M48 - Vissershok Rd • 7.5 km you will find Meerendal Wine Estate on the left • 100 metres further on the right is Alba Guest Farm from Tygervalley Shopping Centre (Pragma Office) • Drive north (away from N1) up Durban road, straight through the village of Durbanville • You get to a circle; continue straight on to the next circle and then you will see the sign “Vissershok Road”. On the right you will see a walled community and open veldt on the left • Approx. 1.5km from the circle you will see horse paddocks • Pass Westerdale road on your left and 200mts on the left you will see Alba Guest Farm on the left |
