WOW - what an amazing, relaxing, all round fantastic 3 days at ZenZulu. Anthony and Amanda, our most gracious hosts, were very professional and even planned with the animals to make appearances! LOL - We were VERY lucky to see the big 5 in abundance, wild dogs (from a distance) and 2 baby cheetah eating from a fresh kill. The lodge was very relaxing. The rooms were very comfortable and private. My family and I definitely recommend a stay here.
We had a lovely stay at this excellent self-catering lodge. The Lodge itself is beautifull, luxurious and very tastefully decorated. The Rino Conservation area is beautifull, clearly not as "wild" as Tanzania or Zambia, but with sufficient game around. We spotted the first lions who had been set free last September (there are even more now, we have heard), saw cheetah, cane rat, nyala's, hippo's ( including a single one in the small lake next to the lodge) and lots of birds. The housekeeping service was good, the rangers who accompanied us from the surrounding lodges were excellent and at our disposal whenever we wanted to go for a drive. We like the self catering part , as this not only helps to make the place truly affordable, but also helps you to stop from overeating on all the catered meals you otherwise are provided with plus gives you more privacy.
