Just awesome. Nettie went out of her way to make sure we had beer and wine in the fridge as well as braai meat and breakfast waiting for us. We hade plenty of wood which we had ordered to keep a fire going outside while we enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings. Its simple accommodation with everything that you need to make you comfortable. We have marked this down as one of our must come back places and for a longer stay as well. Thank you Nettie

The Tankwa Karoo was our main reason for going to Ymansdam. We’d been camping here ten years ago, and enjoyed it so much we had to go back. We couldn’t go camping this time, so we stayed in the cottage on the hill. It looks lovely and the view is wonderful, but we prefer to camp because the temperature was 29C at night and still 25C in the morning. In an attempt to lower the temperature, we switched off the gas fridge because the exhaust blew its hot air into the house. There are no proper curtains, so the light woke us up at the break of dawn and a bird decided to flap in and out of the cottage through the little window at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we managed to get our bakkie stuck in the mud near the dam on our way to the campground. We forgot to sign the book because of all the embarrassment. Still, the price is good and the surroundings remain very inspiring.

What a good experience through the wet and rainy Tankwa Karoo. And the stay at Ymansdam on the little farm cottage was absolute food for the soul with the rain falling down on the roof and on the cracking dry earth.

The farm is in a beautiful area, peaceful and really away from everything! The little cottage we stay in was full equipped, neat, clean but not the same as advertised/photos (much smaller) and also no splash pool. Kitchen area was really too small and inadequate. But otherwise, stunning views and hosts.

Friendly hosts, peace and quiet, comfortable accommodation with private 'splash pool', wonderful outside seating area, beautiful sunsets, we had a very relaxing time! Thank you!
