About Wolfkop Guest House
Lying 5km from Citrusdal, at the foothills of the Cederberg, Wolfkop is a 450ha reserve featuring privately-appointed cottages and a platter of outdoor activities. Wolfkop Guest House consists of four cottages, all private and blending neatly into the setting and boasting 180˚ panoramic views across the Oliphants River Valley.
Wolfkop consists of Harphuis House (with 5 en-suite rooms) and Wolfkop Guest House (which offers en-suite bedrooms in three other cottages).
Harpius House cottage is a lovely guesthouse with five en-suite bedrooms, each sleeping two adults and is only open during the week. The guest house is not available during weekends unless pre-arranged with us for the whole cottage to be booked at a set price. When booking the entire cottage for exclusive use, you can sleep 12 guests.
Wolfkop Guest House:
The other three cottages (Tolbos, Boegoe, Botterboom), which have two en-suite rooms each, are used during the week as a guest house only if Harpuis House has been booked out.
Each totally private mountain cottage has double doors that open onto a veranda with breathtaking views. Each bedroom features Queen-size beds. Comfortable mattress and cotton percale bedding are common to all, as is both an indoor /outdoor hot shower. Air conditioning and satellite TV is standard in each unit.
The kitchen is open-plan and well equipped with stainless steel cooking ware, fresh orange juice in season and fresh coffee beans and grinder for the perfect cuppa.
Stepping into the lounge area which boasts high ceilings, deep sofas for that obligatory afternoon siesta and an open fireplace to accompany a fine glass of plonk in winter. There is DStv and free Wi-Fi here. Double doors open to a terrace fitted with hammock / swing chairs and a Jacuzzi, while to the back there's a dedicated jungle-gym for the child in you.
Canoe hire is available to experience the dam at Wolfkop Nature Reserve or river area at Wolfkop Camping or Elephant Leisure Resort. Whether you prefer fishing in the dam or river, hiking on a trail with a mind-boggling rock formation or admiring the diverse fynbos, it's all there to be had at Wolfkop.
