Willinga Lodge is situated in the quaint, picturesque village of Kosmos, overlooking Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West Province. Your hosts, Will and Ingrid Laarman, have created 6 unique, thatched suites each with private entrance ways, individual terraces and boasting magnificent views. The two luxury suites offer an open fireplace, outside shower and Jacuzzi bath.

Start the day with an excellent breakfast, for dinner there is a selection of many restaurants within a very short distance. A private wine cellar is available for the discerning wine loving guests.

In the subtropical garden, you can relax on the sun deck, by the rock pool or in the Jacuzzi under the trees, with the gentle trickle of the water-fall soothing your senses. An idyllic setting for a honeymoon, anniversary or any special occasion. We offer special midweek breakaways.

ACCOMMODATION

Guests can enjoy a private entrance with a private garden and braai facilities which means there is no need to interact with other guests.

Bali Suite:
This Indonesian style suite is decorated in a tropical look. The view of the dam is amazing from the bed. The lounge area has under floor heating and a ceramic fireplace for the cold winter nights, adding to the romance of the Bali suite. CD player and candles are one of the extra's as well as a fridge. This en-suite bathroom is very spacious, there is also a lovely private outside shower with a view.

Lombok Suite:
Honeymoon suite, queen size bed, en-suite bathroom, jacuzzi decorated Indonesian style, lounge, terrace, beautiful view from the jacuzzi, fridge, CD player and ceramic fireplace.

Palm Suite:
Honeymoon suite with queen size bed, jacuzzi en-suite with a view of the dam. Gas fireplace, CD player, balcony over looking waterfall.

Island Suite:
Honeymoon suite, lounge area with ceramic fireplace. A private terrace with an outside shower (hot and cold water) Two seater private jacuzzi over looking the dam , gives you a feeling of being outside while in the bath.

Green Bird Suite:
Thatched suite sith seperate entrance, terrace over looking the dam. Queen size bed, en-suite bathroom with bath & shower. Ceramic fireplace, ceiling fan and mosquito net.

Yellow Grape suite:
Two twin beds can make up as single or king size beds, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. A private terrace and a little garden. On a clear day you can see forever. Ceiling fan and mosquito net.

The Lovina Suite:
This unit has a bedroom downstairs and a loft room with two single beds plus a fold out double bed. It can comfortably accommodate six people who would share two bathrooms.

Unfortunately we cannot give a good review. First off all I have to mention that the Lodge is now under new management and the name will soon be changed to Scenic Haven. The owners are very friendly, and really attended to our requests, and this is where the good review stops. We were booked into the Island room, and it doesn't look like the pictures at all!!! All the decor was removed. The furniture is very old, and dated out of the 70's. The bed was very comfortable. There was no blind or curtain in-front of the bathroom window, and we were very uncomfortable to take a bath. The garden needs work, and old leaves need to be removed. There was dirt on the ground at our braai area, and when we booked in, there was clothes of the contractors doing repairs at the lodge, on the table at our unit. There is no drinking water to make coffee, and the tap water cannot be used, as it is brown and smells like the dam!!! The kettle is on the floor, and we had to go to a coffee shop in the morning to drink coffee and buy water. The cutlery is in very poor condition and no plates matches, it is very old and need to be replaced. The sliding door and opening window in the bathroom does not close properly. The cupboard doors are damaged and in a very poor condition. The bath is scratched and the outlet is blocked with hair etc. We do understand that the new owners just took over, and we hope they can make this place work, but we were very disappointed and did not get what we paid for. Good luck to the new owners, we do hope you can turn this place around!!
