We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our holiday and we saw Whales while having breakfast! Everything about Wild Olive was wonderful and it really made our holiday memorable. Our room was spacious, light and airy, clean and tastefully furnished with crisp clean bedding and lovely fluffy towels, with a lovely terrace onto the natural garden.
Gloria and Peter welcomed us into their beautiful home and we did not want to leave. Peter is a wonderful chef, paying attention to details while understanding your likes, dislikes and favourite foods. The service, food and wines were all excellent served upstairs in a lovely open plan area, comfortable sofas, and lovely dinning area with a balcony and a view of the bay.
After dinner on the first night we could not believe how good the food was, but the high standard continued to breakfast, including home made breads, and throughout our visit.
Gloria and Peter gave us some great ideas on what to see and visit, if you like hiking the Kogelburg Nature reserve is a must, especially in spring when the flowers and proteas are out, lots of birds as well.
Seeing the whales made it very special but we would have had a great time anyway. We would not hesitate in recommending the Wild Olive and hope we can return sometime in the future

We spent the last two days of our holiday in the Cape at the Wild Olive and it really was " the icing on the cake". Gloria and Peter made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, our room was very comfortable with our own private sun terrace and a view of Pringle Bay. Peter's cooking is amazing, we had the most wonderful meals served in the dining room on the first floor. The ambiance is very relaxed, but with every attention to detail, and Gloria gave us lots of extra information about the surrounding area. We loved our time at the Wild Olive, and we hope very much to repeat the experience!

The Wild Olive is a wonderful place, this is our 6th visit in 4 years. Gloria and Peter are superb hosts, treating you to 5 star service and making you feel at home at the same time. The rooms have everything you need, including inside and outside showers, private terraces and sun beds, the whole place is immaculate. There knowledge of the local area is immense. To top it all, Peters cooking is truly first class.

on recommendation of our daughter we (Marika & myself) stayed early November 2008 for 3 nights. What an experience this was !!! The hospitality of Gloria & Peter is just wonderful. Furthermore they provided us with excellent recommendations for our later stays in the Wineland and CapeTown. \"Wild Olive\" with the superb dining experience (be it fish or meat) was outstanding. The atmosphere was nevertheless relaxing and perfect for holidaying. The location is also perfect, as there are lots of things to do in the vicinity. But it has to be said again that all was so nicely & perfectly done by and with Gloria & Peter & their staff. Our planning for a come back in 2009 has already started. Thanks again to Gloria & Peter for the wonderful time at your place.

What a great way to start or end a holiday near Cape Town !! The accommodation is excellent, the hospitality supurb. Gloria is a lovely lady who makes you feel as if you are the most important people in the world. Peter is a wonderful, award winning cook. Happy to share his preparation methods with you, it is like having your own Master Chef experience. There is a lot to do in the neighbourhood. Beach and river walks, beautiful botanical gardens, a land based penguin colony (aahh!!) and whale watching in season. Close enough to Cape Town and the Winelands to visit them during the day and return in the evening.
We always stay at least 4 nights and feel that we have had a Grand Hotel experience at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.

Staye here for three nights in November 2006 and have booked for four nights in November 2008. This was the find of our last holiday in SA. The food and hospitality is second to note. It is like dining with your own personal chef with Peter doing the cooking, and what a chef. We had freshly caught crayfish the first night there with full instructions how to extract all the meat.
Excellent choice of wine. We can't sing its praises loud enough.
