About Wild Ivory Eco Lodge
Wild Ivory Eco Lodge is a private and exclusive bush lodge situated in Welgevonden Game Reserve, a well established Big 5 game reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa and in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere reserve. The Waterberg area is one of South Africa’s least populated areas and one of the best wildlife areas in Southern Africa.
In addition to the Big 5 species (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) and the numerous other species which occur within the reserve, it also offers some of the best rhino and cheetah sightings in southern Africa.
The Wild Ivory Eco Lodge is positioned in one of the ‘sweeter’ bushveld areas in the western section of the reserve with an abundance of plains game which will in turn attract the large number of predator species which occur within the reserve. The lodge is elevated and overlooks a wooded plain and private waterhole. The elevated position allows for beautiful and uninterrupted views over the reserve and up the Waterberg escarpment. Please note we are 50km away from Vaalwater.
