Wildekrans dates back to the late 1700's when it was first established as a farm and stop over for weary travellers. The year round stream served as a watering hole for the oxen before attempting the treacherous Houw Hoek Pass. The Old Homestead (build in 1811) situated in a magnificent country garden, has three bedrooms all en suite. The rooms are furnished with four poster beds, contemporary South African art and beautiful antique furniture. A living room with fire place and library make for cosy winter afternoons. Breakfast is served in the dining room.
