About Wildebraam Berry Estate

Wildebraam offers several lovely farm units on a youngberry farm in Swellendam. Nestled in the Hermitage Valley, 2km from Swellendam, all the units enjoy stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains and guests will revel in the tranquil country atmosphere. All units are fully equipped with towels and linen provided.

Wildebraam is renowned for its liqueurs and deli range produced on site and all guests are welcome to join us for tastings in our cellar Monday to Saturday. In addition, Wildebraam has a conference / function venue which can host up to 64 people and both corporate and private functions are very popular.

Self Catering Accommodation

Garden Suite:
The suite sleeps one to two guests and is ideal for persons wanting full overnight comforts or the business traveller.

Berry Cottage:
The suite sleeps up to four people and is ideal for a couple or a small family.
• Self-catering farm cottage
• One bedroom (Queen sized bed) with a Ύ bed in lounge area
• There is space in the bedroom for a cot or an added mattress for a child
• En-suite bath, shower and toilet
• Spacious open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen
• Carpeted bedroom (the rest of the cottage is tiled)
• Air conditioned (cold and warm)
• DStv (M-Net, M-Net Movies, Super Sport, SABC, eTV)
• Indoor fireplace
• Large verandah with built in braai - a complimentary bag of wood and Blitz is provided
• Beautiful garden and mountain views

Hermitage Huisie Main House:
This is a large family unit which sleeps six people comfortably but can sleep up to eight guests. It is a perfect unit for a group or bigger family in spacious surrounds. There is a fenced in back yard for pets.

• Room 1: Master suite with double bed and en- suite (shower and toilet)
• Room 2: Double bed
• Room 3: two single beds
• Double sleeper couch in lounge area. An extra mattress can be put on the floor if needed
• A 2nd bathroom has bath and toilet
• Roof fans

• Large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen

Rose Cottage:
The cottage sleeps four people comfortably but can sleep five. It is a rustic farm cottage with a quaint rose theme throughout.
• Relaxed rustic farm cottage
• Two bedrooms (Room 1 has a double bed and Room 2 has two single beds). There is an extra bed in the lounge
• Shower and toilet (bathroom adjacent to kitchen)
• Open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen
• DStv (M-Net, M-Net Movies, Super Sport, SABC, eTV)
• Indoor fireplace
• Portable outdoor braai on verandah - a complimentary bag of wood and Blitz is provided
• Overlooks horse paddocks with mountain views
• Pet friendly on request (minimal charge)

River Cottage:
This rustic farm cottage is more private and separate from the others. Ideal for those wanting to get back to nature. The cottage sleeps up to four guests sharing.
• One bedroom (double bed), with two single beds in the lounge area
• Shower and toilet
• Open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area
• Tiled floors
• No TV
• Indoor fireplace
• Outdoor fixed braai - a complimentary bag of wood and Blitz is provided
• Surrounded by horse paddocks
• A small stream flows through the garden
• Stunning mountain views
• Pet friendly on request (minimal charge)


• Liqueur and deli tasting at Wildebraam Cellar
• Horse riding by own appointment with Dee Hazell
• Birding, hiking in surrounds or in Marloth Nature Reserve (1.5km), mountain biking and berry picking (in season November to December)
• A 9-hole golf course is 1.5km away and various sport clubs are in Swellendam
• Little ones (and older ones) will love Sulina’s Fairy Sanctuary and Swellendam also has several art galleries and local potters and artists
• Well worth visits could include the local Drostdy Museum, Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve, Robertson Wine Route
• There are also lovely day trips into the countryside including Barrydale, Montagu, Robertson, Malgas and Arniston
• Most of all, lots of relaxing - wine tasting and country meandering are the order of the day
