About Warthog Rest Lodge
Warthog Rest Lodge is situated in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in Limpopo. The self catering accommodation is of the highest standards and includes the services of a maid.
You can expect to see game such as warthog, giraffe, a variety of buck and wildebeest in the Estate. We have frequent visits from leopard, lion, cheetah and hyena that access perimeter of the estate from elsewhere. The Estate is a bird loverís paradise with at least 90 species counted.
Self Catering Accommodation
The luxury eight-sleeper lodge is fully equipped for self-catering and consists of three separate wings. The middle wing has a lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen (a dishwasher, a washing machine, tumble dryer, stove, microwave, fridge / freezer, ice machine, camping chairs and blankets), guest loo and storeroom.
The two wings next to the living area each have two en-suite bedrooms; two with double beds and two with two single beds. In addition, a boma provides a space for nights around the camp fire. The patio area outside seats 10 people at the table and the splash pool is there for hot summer days!
The house boasts views of the pool and bush area and is equipped with air-conditioners, ceiling fans, DStv and electronic insect repellent.
Activities and Attractions
Guided game walks (for an additional fee and booking required) are available. Wildlife Activities in the area include the Hoedspruit Cheetah Breeding Project (18kms away), the Mholoholo Rehabilitation Centre (28km away) and Swadini Snake Park (16km away). Elephant Back Safaris can be undertaken at Kapama Game Reserve. The Kruger National Park (Orpen and Phalaborwa Gates) are a 45 to 60 minute drive away should you want a day trip to the park.
