About The Vineyard Country House

The Vineyard Country House is set on a working grape and apricot small-holding on historic Long Street in Montagu. Within walking distance of the monuments, restaurants and shops, The Vineyard offers our guests a beautiful sanctuary nestled at the foot of the magnificent Langeberg Mountain range.

Accommodation

The Vineyard Country House has four beautifully decorated bedrooms, all en-suite, with French doors leading to private patios with views over the vineyard and orchard and a stone's throw away from our 14 metre lap pool set in the vineyards.

We offer Queen, King-size or twin beds and all our rooms are equipped with fans, heaters, hot water bottles and hair dryers. French press coffee plungers with freshly ground coffee, a selection of teas and a honesty bar in the breakfast room, stocked with snacks and drinks are provided for our guests enjoyment.

We have installed LCD TVs and DVD players in all the rooms and offer you a selection of classic and modern movies for your viewing pleasure. A DStv selected bouquet service is also available in all rooms.

At the end of the day you may want to join us for dinner in front of our fire place or on the patio overlooking the fountain. You may also prefer to simply sip a glass of our excellent local wine with a selection of tapas in a comfortable chair overlooking our vineyard and orchards.

Early morning walks through our vineyard or orchards are a favourite with our guests and you may be lucky to see our family of Guinea fowl or a glimpse of the small shy rabbits that hide in the bushes.

Breakfast and Dinner

We serve healthy, home-made country breakfasts in our breakfast room or outside on our patio. Dinners are also available on request.

Services and Facilities

Manicures, pedicures and massages are available on request and for the more energetic guests we have a few bicycles available to explore Montagu and the surrounding areas.

We offer an internet service, a laundry service and a shuttle service to and from Cape Town and are happy to arrange an outing to places of interest in and around Montagu. Secure parking for your car is available and safety deposit boxes have been installed in all the rooms for your convenience.
