Victorian Guest Lodge offers guests and tourists visiting the "Diamond City" a combination of style and comfort in a relaxed atmosphere. This Lodge is situated opposite the entrance (20m) of one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions – "The Big Hole" and Kimberley Mine Museum and is within walking distance from the city centre.

The guest lodge boasts a picturesque garden in which guests can relax by the water fountain and watch the birds enjoy the flowery garden, while seeing "The Big Hole" in the background.

The Victorian style guest lodge provides Bed & Breakfast accommodation for business executives, holiday makers, local and international tourists.

Nine Luxury Rooms - Five luxury en-suite rooms are situated on the top floor and four on the ground floor. Comfort, luxury and elegance are experienced in every bedroom. Each bedroom is individually decorated to the highest standards and there are air-conditioners, TV with DSTV, wireless internet and courtesy tea/coffee trays in every room. Towels and courtesy toiletries are supplied for your convenience. Hairdryers are available at reception. We also offer secure and safe parking on the property. Transport to and from the airport, station and bus terminals can be arranged by prior request. Fax facility is available at reception.

Enjoy a scrumptious South African breakfast in our dining room. We serve Full English and Continental Breakfasts and the best Omelets in the Diamond Fields. We are fully licensed and you can enjoy a light lunch, tea / coffee or a cold beer in our tea garden.

Location


The Victorian Guest Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore the historical and cultural attractions the Diamond City has to offer. It is close to ABSA Park Rugby Stadium, the Business centre, Star of the West (oldest pub in Kimberley) and many historical sites and Museums. The McGregor museum focus on the Military History of the Anglo-Boer War and the Siege of Kimberley while Art Galleries like the William Humphries is of world class standard. There are plenty of war memorials and monuments that makes Kimberley a tourist paradise. Tours of the Battlefields like Magersfontein and Ghost Trail Tours can be arranged on prior request. The biggest gathering of Lesser Flamingoes is at Kamfersdam, situated just outside of town.
