This was one of the best places i had stayed at. Thanks for the great hosts and staff. I recommend this destination to every body.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly, hospitable staff. The manager, Nico, was very kind. Food was excellent, and rooms were of high standard. Lovely stay.

1) Friendly and helpful staff / management 2) Beautiful location, clean and tidy, very quiet - just the right place for a break-away from the rat race and close enough for a visit to Addo National park 3) Suggested to owner that towel rails be installed in bathroom 4) Breakfast average - variety though a bit limited - not the best one would expect for a 4 star 5) Dinner a bit too expensive - similar meals at much cheaper price in Addo or surrounding areas

Hi There! We would very much recommend a stay in the Valley Country Lodge. The welcome was very warm, rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast (blub, more than enough). If you want, Nico can make you also the best diner ever!! We almost wanted to take Nico home :-) Our little doggie was also welcome and we are very grateful for all the good care. Thank you so much - I'm sure we meet again in the future!!

I have dreamed of going on an African safari since I was in grade school and read a book about hunting in Africa. I have hunted New Zealand, Montana, Minnesota, Quebec, New Brunswick, Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska as well as my native Virginia. We have a tendency to picture things as we wish they are and set our standards high. I just returned from South Africa last week from the safari of a lifetime. It was everything I dreamed of and more. Kerneels and Vanessa are great hosts and make you feel at home. Mario Meyers was a great PH and I had a very good tracker. I took 6 excellent trophies in six days. Then stayed for an extra 4 days to do all 5 of the recommended tours. Nico was an excellent tour guide. I know I have made lifetime friends. The food and accommodations were excellent. I cannot find anything to criticize. I highly recommend this-first call facility.

An exceptional find in a private game reserve. The great room is even more stunning than the pictures suggest. It was a romantic getaway, a gourmet experience (delicious game on the two nights we were there) and a very personal insight into the business of game "farming". The gracious hosts, Vanessa and Kerneels also enriched our experience at Addo with their personal knowledge and insights.
