Tshikwalo Game Lodge is in a malaria free zone inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve, which is the first free roaming Big 5 residential game reserve in Gauteng.

Tshikwalo is only 30 minutes drive away from Pretoria and 60 minutes from Johannesburg and OR Tambo International Airport. This is the ideal place for international and local travellers to come for an exciting bush getaway. The lodge has clean and comfortable accommodation.

The Restaurant

Tshikwalo Game Lodge's Restaurant will delight not only your taste buds but also your other senses. The newly expanded restaurant has a beautiful wooden viewing deck which overlooks the waterhole and the plains of Dinokeng Game Reserve.

So relax, enjoy fine food or a refreshing drink, and take in the bush and its ‘natural entertainers'. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and offers an extended food and beverage menu to meet all expectations.

A visit to Tshikwalo is the perfect way to unwind, refresh and revive. Our wide range of activities will cater to anyone's likes and needs. We offer guided, or self-drive game routes, bush picnics, romantic bush dinners, or even a bushveld high tea.

The Corner Chalets are air-conditioned and beautifully furnished with either a king-size bed or two single beds (please request the twin beds, if required). An inside and outside seating area on the balcony provides ample space and opportunity to relax and enjoy the picturesque view over the bushveld. A luxury coffee station and bar fridge complement each room. Each room has an en-suite bathroom (shower only) with guest amenities. A plunge pool with sundeck chairs is available for Corner Chalets guests exclusively. Breakfast at the Restaurant is included for all Corner Chalets guests.

What a fantastic weekend away it was. We really enjoyed our stay at Tshikwalo Lodge. The game drive took a cup for me, our game ranger Sani was excelling, she has passion in her job and I could tell by the way she explained everything to us. We are definitely coming back at the lodge. The animals we spotted on the game drive was more than enough, no rain stopped us from game driving. It was fun, fun, fun all the way. And thanks to the hospitality and very friendly staff.
