Carmel and Gus set superb standards for hospitality and acccommodation. Smithfield is a quaint Free State dorp with a very relaxed feel to it and Trading Places offers the traveller a welcome respite from the long road; the warm, cosy rooms and first class attention to detail, make this a a very worthwhile experience. For those travelling between Gauteng and Cape Town or the Eastern Cape this is a well situated stop over.
