We had a great stay in Dundee at the Royal Country Inn. The owners had done an excellent job on the interior, very good service and breakfast, must recommend the inn's history and the friendly open atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too for the area.

We stayed here for two nights early April 2008. Our room was on the ground floor by the courtyard. The room was very comfortable and clean and we had coffee and tea making facilities.
The hotel is a wonderful place to explore and is full of battlefied memorabilia. The public rooms are kept spotless by the staff. The food was superb with very generous portions and drinks from the bar were very reasonably priced along with the wines. The owners are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, nothing was too much trouble.
A great place to stay to visit the battlefields. We would thouroughly recommend this hotel and hope to return ourselves one day. Book yourself a stay now! |

our stay was our second visit our first was in 2004, in was a great place to unwind after a tour of the north of the country.
the hotel is very ordinary looking from the outside, but inside is full of history, of the boar war 1st and 2nd the staff are very well informed of the history of the area.
the accommodation is clean the gardens well kept and full of wild life, I spent time watching the weaver birds building nests.
the food was the only problem for us we had to insist that we have half portion so that we could enjoy our food without feeling guilty about leaveing so much on our plates. |
