The River Club has nine venues of various sizes ideal for corporate conferences, exhibitions and business events, and a 9-hole mashie golf course, a 90 bay driving range, and a golf academy. Conference CentreThe nine conference venues, all extremely flexible in design, allow for groups from 12 to 350 delegates to be hosted in this relaxing and picturesque setting. The location is one of the most central in Cape Town, near to both the Cape Town central business district (10 minutes) and the Cape Town International Airport (15 minutes). The venues are versatile and can be used in a variety of conference designs: cinema, schoolroom, boardroom and U-shape. CateringCatering is done by our team of professional chefs who ensure that the menus on offer are mouth-watering, the food is excellent and any dietary, religious or health requirements are catered for. EquipmentStandard equipment is supplied and we offer additional services encompassing specialised sound and lighting, video conferencing and audiovisual equipment, as well as full secretarial services. Other FacilitiesThe conference centre boasts ample free parking, natural light in all rooms and a wonderful tranquil setting. Wedding & Special EventsOwing to the space we have at our disposal, we are able to host just about any event, including: motivational seminars and training, corporate launches, teambuilding events, gala dinners, banquets, cocktail parties, year-end functions, weddings, birthday parties, music events, private parties, auctions, annual general meetings (AGM), award ceremonies and charity fundraisers. Golf Course and Driving RangeWe have numerous enquiries about golf packages for conference delegates. Delegates may have a 30 minute lesson from our Logical Golf Academy professionals or they may choose to hit balls on our driving range, play the mashie course, or all three. The River Club 9-hole Mashie course is a 9-hole, par 27, and is a great way to get some short game practice. With spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Liesbeek River, this course provides an intriguing challenge both for the seasoned golfer as well as the beginner. Whether you’re looking to loosen up, tune up or perfect an essential shot, the River Club is an inviting facility which encompasses every aspect of the game of golf. Our membership program caters for regular visitors and includes great discounts on other golf facilities, including reciprocal membership at King David Golf Club, which will allow you to get a handicap. Further benefits are offered with discounts on non-affiliated rates from clubs like Mowbray, Rondebosch, Stellenbosch and Milnerton. The Driving Range is a 90 bay facility which includes a two-storey covered driving range along with a substantial grass and mat open range. Our facility is also equipped with floodlights for evening practice. We are the only driving range in South Africa that offers sheltered double-decker bays from the unpredictable Cape Town weather conditions. This allows our clientele to practice any time of year. We offer two putting greens, a chipping and pitching area with a bunker, a Member’s Only area as well as an onsite teaching academy. The world famous Logical Golf Academy is based at the River Club, and we are proud to have them as the ‘brains’ behind the swing.
