Blissful tranquillity in a large tropical garden of water and birdsong, Bamboo Guesthouse is perfectly situated midway between two award winning golf courses, a 5 minute drive to Knysna’s bustling town centre with vibrant waterfront and restaurants, the famous Heads and Leisure Isle’s two sandy beaches. Nestled in our truly magnificent garden are 5 beautifully decorated garden rooms and tucked behind the privacy of a bamboo screen are the two new courtyard suites. All our rooms have their own entrances and are as sociable or private as one may choose to be. ACCOMMODATIONThe five elegantly furnished garden rooms accessed separately via elevated wooden walkways through the garden, and two modern courtyard suites, (one a family suite of two rooms, the other a double) are comfortably equipped. Each has colour TV, DSTV, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fan, ipod docking radio alarm, hair dryer, a small bar fridge and private terrace. Your personal terrace is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day filled with all the excitement that the Garden Route has on offer. Or you may choose to use the sunny deck off the lounge and library for a cold drink while taking in the many bird varieties the garden attracts. Guests have the choice of a light continental or full English breakfast served in our poolside Boma tucked under trees in a corner of the garden. Evenings spent in around Boma’s firepit are a treat with the option of a traditional braai (barbeque) or home cooked meal by arrangement. For the more adventurous and active guest we co-ordinate and provide eco-adventure outings and activities including forest cycling, individualised lagoon and ocean sunset cruises, guided walks, abseiling, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkelling, Bungy jumping and many more. Bollard Bay beach and 2 picturesque golf courses (Pezula and Knysna) are three minutes away, as is Leisure Isle with its watersports activities and the famous "Heads".
